Queerview television guide for August 14

Laughing Matters: Gay Comedy in America (Logo) 8:00 PM EDT
A comedy special featuring Alec Mapa and Bob Smith, among others? I am so there.

Flipping Out (Bravo) 10:00 PM EDT
Jeff Lewis continues to deliver the drama as he considers the value of having a psychic bless a house and fights with his business partner (not to mention ex-boyfriend) about who gets to live in the biggest estate they've worked on so far. For a preview of the episode, check out below the jump.

Rick & Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in all the World 10:00 PM EDT
Has this comedy only been on a one-week break? Because I feel like I've gone without this hysterical animated comedy for much longer. This week's episode finds the characters enjoying a gay cruise with the boys attending the Seamen Dance, while Kirsten and Dana attend Mommy Boot Camp class. After the jump, check out a video on how the puppets are created, courtesy of the series' website.

    Jeff is a nightmare

Bravo sure does like a bitchy, over the top, drama queen. Freeze him out? That whole concept is bizarre. Bravo id great at presenting the gay men that straight America expects and is comfortable with.

    Jeff Lewis' appeal?

I don't know why, but even though he's crazy I can't stop watching him. There's something hot about this guy who is a little bit insane.LOL

    The Mind of Jeff Lewis

I think his flipping out and psychics are about control.  He doesn't feel like he is in control and that's a big thing for him.  Really hope that we see a lot of growth from him.

He needs to cut the fat and only keep Jenny, his ex, and Zoila.  These three are the most loyal and most likely to finish something.  He should tighten his finances, he throws money around way too easily.  Overall I like Jeff a lot.  He reminds me of my older gay brother and looks like him.

I understand what you are saying GayTVluver.  Networks keep trying to create the "evil" gay or using effiminate gays.

Lyle, I know what you mean.  It felt like a lot longer than a week since the last episode.  I'm really bummed that this is the 5th episode and there is only one left in the season.  They really have to make more in the second season; it's an incredible show.
