Queerview television guide for April 1

Beauty and the Geek (CW) 8:00 PM EDT
Alright, as much as I hated last week's first elimination, I liked seeing some thought go into the way beauties and geeks partnered up and I think gay geek Greg could be interesting paired with Randi. Tonight, the geeks are challenged to sit down for an interview with Dr. Drew Pinsky and discuss sexuality with a radio audience. Greg doesn't look the slightest bit uncomfortable in the previews, which (again) is kinda adorable. Meanwhile, I'll have my fingers crossed that the "classic" elimination competition doesn't return; it was always my least favorite part of the show and it only got worse with age.

The Riches (fx) 10:00 PM EDT
Two episodes into the new season and the Malloys are back in Eden Falls. I'm excited to see what comes next, since there are so many interesting stories to tell about being the Riches, though I wonder if some viewers are annoyed to see last season's finale undone so quickly ... how are you feeling about the second season so far?

The Big Gay Sketch Show (Logo) 10:00 PM EDT
MadTV alum Paul Vogt makes another appearance this week, which certainly raises my hopes for a solid episode. Tonite's sketchfest promises an I Love Lucy parody, as well as an unconventional lecture on Black History.

Human Giant (MTV) 11:00 PM EDT
I guess it's sketch comedy night! Will the bizarre MTV series bring us more gay-ish sketch comedy this week? I'm just thrilled to have an American show to compare to That Mitchell and Webb Look.

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC) 11:35 PM EDT
I'd usually hesitate sending a recommendation Jay Leno's way for the obvious reasons but tonight's show includes an appearance by The B-52s. And I just adore them far more than I dislike Leno.

Other guests tonight include footballer (and AfterElton Hot 100-er)David Beckham as well as View panelist/flat earth spokesperson Sherri Shepherd.

    What Will You See Tonight?

Tonight I think is the last episode of the series What Would You Do? on ABC 10:00pm EST.  Last November ABC sent a camera crew to a southern town to record people's reactions to seeing a gay couple holding hands or kissing.  The police were inundated with complaints that a same-sex couple were holding hands and kissing.  The police did nothing but the ABC crew was forced to close down production because their cover was blown by a local news station.  I don't know if ABC will actually run the segment since I have not seen any previews or mentions of it anywhere.

    Live To Be 150

Yes, it's the right name.  Apparently it's not on tonight.  Maybe next Tuesday.  The schedule said every Tuesday.  The series started on February 26 and consists of six episodes.

Tonight there is a special called Live To Be 150... Can You Do It?

    The Riches

No, not annoyed at all. They titled the show to reflect the story arch of them being the Riches. The escape plan was a typical season finale cliff hanger, which anyone with one brain cells knows will be undone in the season premier. The whole kidnapping incedent annoyed me by delaying getting them back to Edan falls.
