The historical series takes a look at gay poet Walt Whitman this week. "Learn more about Walt Whitman" has been on my to do list for a while now and this makes it easy.
Greek (ABC Family) 8:00 PM EDT
It's a class of the Greeks as Kappa Tau and Omega Chi break into a prank war, a situation that puts some strain on Rusty and Calvin's friendship. As great as this show has been from not shying away from Calvin's romantic life, I also love that there's so much focus on his friendship with Rusty, which makes him a lot more than 'the gay one'. Then again, that's why Greek works: few of the major characters stay within their niche.
The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 8:00 PM EDT
Sadly, I can't tell you that the show has added any gay nerds to the cast. However, this week features an appearance by character actor Joel Brooks (pictured) as a professor. I guess most people know him from his role as Ruth's gay coworker on Six Feet Under but for me he'll always be Pam Dawber's agent on My Sister Sam.
Transamerican Love Story (Logo) 10:00 PM EDT
It's the season finale! Who will Calpernia pick? I have to admit, I'm not cheering for anybody at this point, which is usually a sign of a good dating reality show, for me. Every choice is a different journey and it'll be interesting to see which route she picks. Anyone out there cheering for any particular finalist?

Great night for TV!
A My Sister Sam reference! I loved that show!
I'm excited about the finale of Transamerican Love Story. I think it's pretty clear that it's between Shawn and Mike, because Calpernia doesn't seem to be interested in Jim romantically. Shawn seems to be a better match for her intellectually, while she seems to be more physically attracted to Mike. And can I just say how much I like Andrea. She seems really cool.
I'm looking forward to Greek too. I really like Calvin and the way they've handled his character so far.
I keep hoping...
That's a great idea. I'd
he's on my list too!
After watching Dead Poets Society last week, I've been meaning to discover what the big dealio is about Walt Whitman. I had thought he was like Shakespeare is to UK schools and you don't get to graduate unless you can recite his best-known works backwards, so it's kind of reassuring that I'm not the only one who hasn't yet been enlightened.
i'll be spontaneous tomorrow...
