Queerview television guide for April 29

Was Adam Lambert's stair-descending performance enough to keep him safe on tonight's elimination episode of American Idol? Join us tonight for another Viewing Party starting at 9PM Eastern to find out with your fellow fans!

And aside from Idol there's plenty of gay TV, including the conclusion of a Reno 911! murder mystery or a double dose of Kristen Chenoweth in the talk shows.

Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated) Check local listings
The latest stop on Broadway Week is a visit with the cast of metal-musical Rock of Ages.

The Bonnie Hunt Show (syndicated) Check local listings
Tavis Smiley (PBS) Check local listings
Gay-fave Kristen Chenoweth has two talk show appearances today, stopping to chat with Bonnie Hunt and Tavis Smiley. Since Smiley's discussions tend to be more analytical than the usual talk show, I'm hoping that visit includes some talk about her Pushing Daisies role of Olive Snook, playing Dusty Springfield and how she reconciles her religion with her support for gay rights.

American Idol (Fox) 9:00 PM EDT
Aw, and I was so hoping someone would sing "Candyman". Still that was a pretty solid episode — I even liked Danny at moments, which I guess means there's some reason to worry about Adam in tonight's elimination episode. Join our Viewing Party at 9 PM EDT to ooh and ahh with your fellow fans!

Reno 911! (Comedy Central) 10:30 PM EDT
Scott Thompson should be returning on tonight's episode, which concludes Lt. Dangle's murder mystery party. Reno 911! works best for me when it focuses on larger story arcs instead of being a collection of gags, so this two-parter has been a nice change of pace in the season. Check out a preview for tonight's show:

Chelsea Lately (E!) 11:00 PM EDT
Chelsea's "Staff Homosexual" Guy Branum returns to the panel tonight, which should be a good warm-up for tomorrow's panel, which is even gayer.
