Queerview Television Guide (The Weekend of February 5, 2010)

This weekend's gay TV starts with a drama-heavy Friday night as we meet Sam's husband on Caprica, Margaret Cho makes her Ghost Whisperer debut, Ian tries to save the Gallagher family on Shameless and gladiator training continues on Spartacus. And then on Sunday, there's a little thing called the Super Bowl.
It all kicks off as Kyle and Oliver deal with all those Llanview residents in jeopardy on today's One Life to Live. Be sure to join us for a liveblog starting at 2PM Eastern!
Friday
One Life to Live (ABC) Check local listings
The baby drama heads towards a Friday cliffhanger as Oliver and Rex continue to try to find Stacy and Kyle admits the truth to Roxy.
As the World Turns (CBS) Check local listings
Luke has to deal with the truth about Damien today as Molly lets things slip. Things are only going to get worse, however, as he tries to find Damien and comes close to realizing another difficult truth.
Ghost Whisperer (CBS) 8:00 PM EST
Gay-fave comedienne Margaret Cho appears this week as an Occult Anthropology Professor who needs help dealing with the ghost of a secret admirer. Cho's character is supposed to be recurring so, presumably, this won't be her only appearance. Still, wouldn't you expect a professor of Occult Anthropology to know how to handle a ghost?

Shameless (Sundance) 8:00 PM EST
The Gallagher clan turns to Ian after Frank ruins several thousand dollars worth of Mimi's drugs. Too bad, Mimi is already in a bad mood with Paddy facing potential jail time. That probably won't make life easy for Mickey, either.
Caprica (SyFy) 9:00 PM EST
So, Amanda decided to go the public nervous breakdown route? I'm not entirely surprised since her marriage looks doomed (what with the comminications issues and the secretive husband) and she doesn't seem to have anyone she can turn to for a talk (I'm surprised she hasn't added confidant to Serge's duties.) The Greystones face the consequences for the admission this week, including Sam and Joseph having some tense words with Daniel. Even better, tonight we get to meet Sam's husband.
NUMB3RS (CBS) 10:00 PM EST
Stephen Spinella guest-stars as a jeweler-to-the-stars as the NUMB3RS team look into the disappearance of jewels at an awards show.
Spartacus: Blood and Sand (Starz) 10:00 PM EST
Gladiator camp continues as Spartacus further proves his potential in training. That should mean more beefcake, even if we're still waiting for the series to out its gay gladiator.
Saturday
The Wanda Sykes Show (Fox) 11:00 PM EST
I expect Wanda will have a few words to say about this week's discussion of Don't Ask Don't Tell, as well as John McCain's easily-demonstrated hypocrisy on the issue, but dare I hope she managed to book one of the gay servicemembers who have been speaking out on the issue? I'd love to see Wanda chat with someone like Lt. Dan Choi.
Sunday
Super Bowl XLIV (CBS) 6:28 PM EST
My eagerness for Ad Bowl 2010 nearly died over CBS' double-standard in their treatment of gay-friendly and anti-gay religious groups, but then I was reminded that gay-ally Scott Fujita will be playing in the game. I guess that means I'll be paying attention to those #whodat tweets that come my way this Sunday.
Scott Fujita
Big Love (HBO) 9:00 PM EST
It sounds like Bill's political campaign and other Henrickson dramas will dominate this week but considering the drama Alby and Dale have been delivering, surely they'll show up at some point.
Modern Family (ABC) 8:00, 9:00 and 10:00 PM EST
If you're looking for an alternative to the Super Bowl (or if the game falls flat) ABC is revisiting some of Modern Family's best moments including Mitchell figure skating youth at 8, a too-skinny Santa at 9 and Fizbo the Clown at 10.
