Judging by the comments section in yesterday's AfterElton briefs, I'm wondering if we've got a new Idol contestant to get behind. At the least, it might be interesting to see if David Hernandez gets treated any differently this week... considering all the negative publicity the show is getting about ringers lately, I expect something as innocent as this should be a welcome relief.

Was anyone else surprised to see a Grey Gardens parody last week? I wasn't expecting to see a recent Tony nominee mocked, nor a rather brilliant mash-up with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Tonight's episode includes a sketch a parody of Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King and one named "Are You Smarter than a Tranny Hooker?" Uh-oh, I hope that one doesn't head to the same turf as last season's "Tranny 911" sketch.
