Queerview television guide for January 8

Betty Suarez returns from her holiday break and if you were starting to feel a deficiency of freaking fabulousness, she's got Bernadette Peters and Nikki Blonsky joining her and Marc on their first day at YETI.

But first, Casey and Ali decide to play cupid to Luke and Noah... I have a feeling Bobby Cannavale and Sarah Paulson are not going to approve of their tactics. Of course, we'll be following their attempt with a liveblog, so be sure to tune in starting at 2PM Eastern.

Check out the full listings and a sneak peek at today's As the World Turns, after the break!

Having watched too many romantic comedies, Casey and Ali decide the best way to play get a reconciliation out of Luke and Noah is to leave them stranded on a roof, where forced alone time will inspire a reconciliation. Check out this preview scene:

Ugly Betty (ABC) 8:00 PM EST
It's a big Broadway return for Betty as Betty's first days at YETI brings Bernadette Peters as the editor in charge of the program and Nikki Blonsky as an assistant at Mode's big rival, ELLE. (Out designer Zac Posen also appears.) I wonder if the Mode/ELLE rivalry will inspire at Marc/Betty team-up, which would totally rule.

The 14th Annual Critics' Choice Awards (VH1) 9:00 PM EST
Determined by the Broadcast Critics' Association, these awards for cinematic acheivement includes a number of gay or gay-interest nominess including: Milk, Doubt, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Heath Ledger, James Franco, Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, Gus Van Sant, (Milk screenwriter) Dustin Lance Black and Skins' Dev Patel. Hm, between this and last night's People's Choice Awards that makes two award shows in two nights ... I guess we're fully in award season.
