Today is Ellen's birthday bash and her party includes a performance from Adam Lambert.

And, tonight, it's family trouble and charity reform on tonight's Better Off Ted. ABC's Wednesday night comedies are taking a week off, so tonight is your one chance to get some critically-acclaimed comedy for the week.

Oprah takes a look at women who've lived through a public scandal, including Gayle Haggard the wife of disgraced evangelical preacher Ted Haggard. Hopefully this won't be an attempt to be fair and balanced after her talk with Rosie.

In addition to Adam, Ellen's birthday also sees Harry Connick, Jr and Will Arnett (whose wife, Amy Poehler was there for Ellen's birthday last year) I'm going to keep my fingers crossed to seePortia make a surprise appearance and sing "Never Gonna Give You Up".

It's a double-feature of gay-faves today as Wendy has Lucy Lawless and Ugly Betty's Mark Indelicato making a visit.

Better Off Ted (ABC) 8:30 PM EST
Ted learns why you do't mix business and family this week when his brother gets a job for a company that sells lab equipment and ends up corrupting Phil and Lem in order to help his sales. Meanwhile, Veronica and Linda team up to reform a charity with high administration costs.

Southland (TNT) 10:00 PM EST
This week we get to know Officer Sherman's history and his motivation for joining the police. Meanwhile, this is also the episode where Officer Dewey gets starstruck when he arrests a famous actor and leaves us all asking "Didn't they give him a retirement party last week?"

Tyra talks two children, ages 7 and 8, who identify as transgender about what it's like to grow up transgender. Unfortunately, this episode also promises a "heated debate" when Tyra has a transgender doctor, a minister and the director of Transyouth Family Allies.

One Life to Live (ABC) Check local listings
Wednesday's going to return to the Guppy drama. Hopefully, Kish will be a part of that.
