News, Reviews & Commentary on Gay and Bisexual Men in Entertainment and the Media

Queerview television guide for July 23

Good Morning America (ABC) 7:00 AM EDT
Pop icon George Michael will be appearing to perform on this morning's show.

Big Brother (CBS) 8:00 PM EDT
It's the second eviction of the season and, much like Joe last summer, gay housemate Steven could be leaving the house already. Hmm, what is it about this show and a gay man being out by the second week? And is it a disappointment or a relief that this time there's no second gay male houseguest?

Project Runway (Bravo) 9:00 PM EDT
Aw, just as I was getting excited at the thought of a gay Asian-American man on Project Runway, Jerry has to go and create that hideous outfit. Bye, Jerry. Tonight, meanwhile, finds the designers challenged to "think green", with the help of guest judge Queen Amidala Natalie Portman.

Shear Genius (Bravo) 10:00 PM EDT
With Team Gay still intact, the hairdressers have to face surfer boys in the Short Cuts challenge. After that, they must work with wigs for prematurely balding women.

Sordid Lives: The Series (Logo) 10:00 PM EDT
Based on Del Shores' sleeper hit comedy about a dysfunctional family in rural Texas, plenty of the original cast is back for twelve half-hour episodes (including Olivia Newton-John, Beth Grant, Bonnie Bedelia and, of course, Leslie Jordan), with Rue McClanahan and Caroline Rhea (stepping into the shoes Delta Burke wore on the big screen) joining the action. And a cameo by Margaret Cho, too!
