Queerview television guide: June 22

While the Queerview is usually about what's gay on TV, here's a rare radio listing: Sirius OutQ's The Morning Jolt with Larry Flick is taking a special look at The History of Gay Music over four days this week, counting down the most important queer moments and people from the past 50 years of music.

As for today's gay TV, a big week begins for Rafe on The Young and the Restless and Kathy Griffin works a shift at Paula Deen's restaurant.

Dancing with the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli is a guest on today's show, presumably with the early draft of his "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" essay.

It's another day of Rafe as he feels pressured to choose between representing Adam and Estella, thanks to Estella's arrest. Things are definitely starting to get interesting for Rafe this week (especially since Michael Muhney makes his debut on Thursday) and this is where the balancing act begins.

The History of Gay Music (Sirius OutQ) 7:00 AM EDT
Larry Flick's look at how gays have made an impact on music promises to be pretty comprehensive, with interviews scheduled with a wide variety of musicians including Boy George, The Pet Shop Boys, k.d. lang, Jimmy Somerville, Junior Vasquez and Pansy Division.

The Secret Life of an American Teenager (ABC Family) 8:00 PM EDT
While I don't believe there's anything gay about tonight's episode, this season ABC Family's teen pregnancy drama promises the arrival of Brando Eaton as Ashley's gay BFF, Griffin, so it might be good to catch it from the beginning.

Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List (Bravo) 10:00 PM EDT
After Kathy finds out whether or not she wins a Grammy (hint: she's competing with a comedy legend), she decides to take a trip to Savannah to visit comfort food chefleberty Paula Deen.

Raising the Bar (TNT) 10:00 PM EDT
Roz and Richard take on the case of an African-American man accused of committing a hate crime against a gay man this week. Hopefully, gay law clerk Charlie will get the chance to be a part of the story. (Thanks Anthony!)

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS) 12:35 AM EDT
While the appearance of Village Voice columnist Michael Musto usually inspires groans of disappointment when he's a guest on Countdown (especially after he thought it was clever to make transphoibic jokes about Carrie Prejean), he can be funny when he tries. Hopefully, Ferguson will bring out that kind of effort.

Tomorrow should take us a step closer to Kish when Christian questions if dating Fish is a good idea for Layla.

Tomorrow's episode promises the return of the James Stenbeck of homophobia, Col. Pervy. Check out Nuke and Officer Hotpants in Tuesday's Scene of the Day:
