News, Reviews & Commentary on Gay and Bisexual Men in Entertainment and the Media

Queerview television guide for June 2

Greek (ABC Family) 8:00 PM EDT
Spring Break is coming and that brings up a need for fake IDs ... a situation that leads Rusty to be mistaken for a wedding singer. Wacky hijinx follow ... will Calvin be a part of the action, or is he too busy with a certain TA?

For the Bible Tells Me So (Sundance) 9:00 PM EDT
Religion and homosexuality are explored in this moving documentary which takes a look at the journeys taken by various religious families with gay members, including that of former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt, whose daughter, Chrissy, is gay.

The Mole (ABC) 10:00 PM EDT
The well-remembered reality series makes a long-awaited (and celebrity-free) return tonight, and we've got a gay man, Bobby (pictured at left), competing to find the Mole before the Mole takes him out of the competition. (Then again, maybe he's the Mole...)

Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods (MTV) 10:00 PM EDT
One thing that initially had me excited about Step It Up & Dance was the participation of out choreographer Jerry Mitchell, who seemed likely to be a solid mentor for the dancers, only to be frustrated by the judges. On this show, where ten young women compete for the role of Elle Woods, Mitchell isn't a mentor but a judge. Hopefully, I'll be able to enjoy Mitchell on this show more.

For the Bible Tells Me So

I had heard of this movie, but never got a chance to see it, and I missed the first 30 minutes (read this, and checked the channel asap and it was already on). Regardless - this movie is powerful. I wish this movie could be shown to every person who hides behind their beliefs in "God's Word" as reason to hate homosexuals, and have them view it with an open mind.
