Queerview Television Guide (The Weekend of March 12, 2010)

This weekend's gay TV includes a return to the V-world on Caprica, a Vampire Weekend performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon as well as the debuts of Todd Holland's new comedy Sons of Tucson and Cyndi Lauper's turn on The Apprentice.
Meanwhile, Luke gets to know Reid better on today's As the World Turns. We'll be following it all with a liveblog starting at 2PM Eastern, so be sure to join us for the minute-by-mintue snark.
Friday
Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated) Check local listings
Anderson Cooper is scheduled to return to the guest-host's chair as Guy Fieri cooks and Ted Danson discusses Damages.
As the World Turns (CBS) Check local listings
Now that Reid's been outed to the audience, it's time for Luke to find out, which gets Luke to reconsider his first impression of the smug and snarky doctor. I hope that doesn't get in the way of their bickering.
Caprica (SyFy) 9:00 PM EST
Joseph continues to search for Tamara, this time venturing into the right part of the V-world but how will he react when he finds out how much power she's gained? Meanwhile, a secret from Amanda's past comes back to haunt her.
Shameless (Sundance) 9:00 PM EST
It sounds like the residents of Chatsworth Estate will be sharing in that very, very uncomfortable feeling I got at the end of last week's episode, as Tom gets wrongly arrested when Debbie is his alibi. Meanwhile, Paddy and Shane fight over Shane's girlfriend. With the Gallaghers and the Maguires both going through drama, I expect we'll see either Ian or Mickey.
Friday Night with Jonathan Ross (BBC America) 10:00 PM EST
Jonathan's guests this week are include gay-faves Lady Gaga and True Blood vamp Stephen Moyer.
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (NBC) 12:30 AM EST
Vampire Weekend, including out keyboardit Rostam Batmanglij, is scheduled to perform tonight.
Vampire Weekend
Saturday
Who is Clark Rockefeller? (Lifetime) 9:00 PM EST
Will & Grace alumn Eric McCormack's latest project is a Lifetime movie based on the true story about a con man who took on a number of guises, including a 12-year con pretending to be an heir to the Rockefeller family.
The Wanda Sykes Show (Fox) 11:00 PM EST
While I am largely burning out on coverage of Rep. Eric Massa's scandal, resignation and media meltdown, I'm looking forward to hearing Wanda's take on that whole mess.
Sunday
The Amazing Race
As the Race moves on to France, the remaining competitors face a World War I reenactment. If they work a beagle flying a Sopwith Camel into that recreation, I just might become a little less grumpy about a non-elimination leg showing up just in time to save the annoying Big Brother team.
Family Guy (Fox) 9:00 PM EST
Stewie takes on a drag identity when wants to audition for a show but finds out that they are only only casting little girls. If only they thought of this plot when Family Guy were still a sharp and edgy comedy.
The Celebrity Apprentice (NBC) 9:00 PM EST
Well, great. I've mostly managed to ignore NBC's Donald Trump-centric franchise (okay, I suffered through the Martha Stewart-edition) but this time around the celebrity cast includes gay icon Cyndi Lauper. I have a feeling the limits of how much I adore Cyndi is going to be put through the test.
Sons of Tucson's Tyler Labine with Todd Holland
Sons of Tucson (Fox) 9:30 PM EST
I know, Todd Holland is mostly known these days for saying that gay actors should stay closeted for the sake of their career but to me he's the guy who directed the pilots of Wonderfalls and Malcolm in the Middle, helping both shows develop in their first (or only) seasons. His newest series has Tyler Labine as a man hired by three kids to pose as their father after their actual father goes to prison, only to find the job more involved than expected.
Brothers & Sisters (ABC) 10:00 PM EST
Kitty's increased prominence also puts Sarah and her relationship with Luc in the spotlight, bringing up the possibility of deportation once again. Meanwhile, Tommy returns to help Nora try to save Ojai.
