News, Reviews & Commentary on Gay and Bisexual Men in Entertainment and the Media

Queerview television guide: November 9

How do you follow up a declaration of love on live, international television? That's the question Kyle and Fish try to figure out as they have their first date. Be sure to join us as we follow it with a liveblog staring at 2PM Eastern!

And that's just part of a very full day of gay TV that includes Chris Colfer chatting with Bonnie Hunt, a look at the battle for marriage equality in Italy and some kind of big deal on Gossip Girl.

For those of you who felt some definite withdrawal pains while Glee went through its recent two week break, Chris Colfer will be visiting the show today. Oscar the Grouch is also scheduled to visit and I'm not sure which guest sounds more exciting to me.

UPDATE:
The Oprah Winfrey Show

Oprah has the first interview with Ellen and Portia as a couple. Today's show is being billed as a quasi-crossover with Ellen's show since they'll both be discussing Ellen's O Magazine from different perspectives.

The Young and the Restless (CBS) Check local listings
It's more Chancellor family (including the rarely-seen Phillip) drama as they wait to see if Chance is okay. As you'd expect, it ends up with two of the Chancellor women yelling at each other.

One Life to Live (ABC) Check local listings
Today's the big date but first, the boys give Cris and Layla some advice which means that, yes, they're continuing to be role models to couples in Llanview.

Suddenly Last Winter (Sundance) 1:30 PM EST
I'm not sure if this is the way to get over last Tuesday's disappointing defeat in Maine but this documentary takes a look at the controversy that interrupted when Italy's government attempted to pass civil partnerships for cohabitating couples.

Also on tonight's HIMYM, Neil Patrick Harris in a fat suit

How I Met Your Mother (CBS) 8:00 PM EST
Alan Thicke appears on tonight's Barrobin-focused episode which should mean more Canadian jokes as Lily has a scheme to break up Barney and Robin. I guess she misses the days when the show was more about Ted? If so, I couldn't disagree more.

Gossip Girl (CW) 9:00 PM EST
I can't ignore that tonight's GG is the one featuring that hyped threeway, even though I suspect that the chances of it including two guys is pretty low.

Million Dollar Listing (Bravo)10:00 PM EST
It's another round of Chad versus Madison this week as Chad steals away one of Madison's listings. Ah well, I was hoping we wouldn't be seeing Chad and Madison's paths cross again after that last meeting.

Daytime Preview for Tuesday, November 10

While people who've made themselves famous for their homophobia aren't usually on the Queerview, considering her current scandal it might be interesting to see what Carrie Prejean has to say now.

The good news about tomorrow's OLTL is that it involves Kyliver getting hot & heavy. Unfortunately, they also get interrupted.

Did they not say who the

3 way in GG already was, I cant remember as I'm not a fan but I am pretty sure it was 2 girls and a dude.

Totally looking forward to the date on OLTL and kind of hoping they do not just jump into bed but take it slow for a few weeks.

    As far as I know...

there have been no hints to who the threesome will involve, which means there could be two guys tho I doubt it. Still, it makes it relevant. That said, I've seen at least one ad that included the possibility of it involving two guys, which would be groundbreaking if GG didn't already challenge the idea that ladykisses are the only same-sex kisses worth promoting.

    It aired yesterday

It aired yesterday, but it wasn't of any gay interest. It was Olivia, Vanessa and Dan.

I knew it wasn't going to be a male-male-female threesome. I hate to say it, but I told you so! lol.

Harvey Milk: You gotta give 'em hope.

    Ah right

Well the two dudes is probably a tease which is a shame.
