This weekend James Franco discusses his upcoming gay roles with David Letterman, Graham Norton tries to keep Robin Williams from taking over his show and True Blood has its big Season 1 finale. Don't they realize I have a Thanksgiving dinner to get ready for?

Dr. Phil (syndicated) Check local listings
Proposition 8 is the topic of the day with HRC president Joe Solomonese, lawyer Gloria Allred and San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom scheduled to speak on the side of gays. Since I'm not a fan of anyone there and the opposition includes the odious Maggie Gallagher, I think I'll be skipping this one, even if the previews make it look like the audience is pretty supportive of equal rights.
Late Night with David Letterman (CBS) 11:35 PM EST
Dave chats with James Franco, who will be playing two real life gay men in two upcoming movies: Harvey Milk's lover in Milk and then poet Allen Ginsberg in Howl. Considering all the buzz about the relevance of Milk to the current reaction against Proposition 8, I'm curious if Franco will make the same observation.
Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) 12:05 AM EST
Kimmel's guest list tonight shows a bit of a gay sensibility tonight with gay fave performer Tracey Ullman as well as filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, who, with films like Strictly Ballroom and Moulin Rouge certainly has developed a bit of a gay following.
Saturday
The Graham Norton Show (BBC America)
This week, Robin Williams is Graham's only guest (because would you want to share a talk show couch with the, uhm ... animated Williams?) but Williams and Norton together should be one wild ride.

Sunday
The American Music Awards Red Carpet Live! (ABC) 7:00 PM EST
Christian Siriano joins the red carpet team for the awards show, which should make for some interesting moments if he gets some good screen time.
The American Music Awards (ABC) 8:00 PM EST
Instead of a trip to Wisteria Lane or a night with the Walker family, ABC is offering this music industry gala where Annie Lennox is scheduled to win a special "award of merit". Performers for the night include Pink, Rihanna, The New Kids on the Block and Kanye West.
True Blood (HBO) 9:00 PM EST
In the season finale, Sookie makes a discovery about the killings in Bon Temps and finds herself in danger while Lafayette finds himself in "the wrong place at the right time".
Stephen Colbert celebrates Christmas

A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All (Comedy Central) 10:00 PM EST
While we await Rosie O'Donnell's revival of the variety show next week, gay fave Stephen Colbert takes aim at the Christmas special. With appearances by Jon Stewart, Elvis Costello and Willie Nelson and tongue-in-cheek carols about the war on Christmas and nutmeg (if ever there were a spice worth singing about it'd be nutmeg ... or cardamon), this sounds like a great way to start the holiday season.
