Queerview television guide for the weekend of October 12

Friday
The Oprah Winfrey Show (syndicated) Check local listings
Oprah focuses on transgender interviews in today's show, including a family where the father became a woman. Am I the only one who bristles a little at the way she asks the son if he's okay with his father in the ads?
As the World Turns (CBS) Check local listings
Noah visits Luke in the hospital, a common scene for your usual soap couple -- does that make Nuke equal to your everyday soap couple? Check in at 2PM ET for more fun liveblogging of all the bedside action.
Degrassi: The Next Generation (The N) 8:00 PM EDT
Page and Alex face relationship troubles, and since they're all living in the same apartment together their problems also become Marco's problems.
Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC) 1:35 AM EDT
Morrissey makes a rare appearance on tonight's show. He doesn't make many American talk show appearances, so this one is probably worth checking out.
Saturday
Doctor Who (BBC America) 7:00 PM EDT
I never realized it the first time it aired but this week's episode features out performer Andrew Hayden-Smith, who plays an alternate universe freedom fighter and is never relegated to the role of comic relief.
Torchwood (BBC America) 9:00 PM EDT
The Torchwood team makes some disturbing discoveries out in the countryside. Unfortunately, they're not dealing with the Village of the Year, Camilla Diamond or the local Womens' Guild, but something much more dangerous.
The Graham Norton Show (BBC America) 10:00 PM EDT
Horatio Hornblower and Fantastic Four hottie Ioan Gruffudd chats with Graham this week. For some of Gruffudd's fans, the most important revelation will come when Graham reads his name out loud.
The Search for the Next Elvira (Fox Reality) Midnight EDT
The legendary Mistress of the Dark is seeking a new minion to be her apprentice, with the help of two gay judges in Elvira drag. This should be good for some campy fun as we head into Halloween.
Sunday
America's Most Smartest Model (VH-1) 9:00 PM EDT
Tonight's episode features a game show leading, evidently, to plenty of cluelessness laughs (hopefully we'll get more chances to laugh at Ben Stein like when he was insufferably arrogant while also being flat-out wrong about that umbrella tree), and presumably the photoshoot to follow will make fun of bisexual contestant Jesse Lewis and his imperfect physique.
Coffee Date (Logo) 10:00 PM EDT
Wilson Cruz stars in this comedy about a straight man who gets an immersive education about gay culture when his blind date turns out to be a gay man.
Brothers & Sisters (ABC) 10:01 PM EDT
Scotty Wandell (Luke McFalane) makes a return this week to have dinner with Kevin Walker. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Kevin doesn't find a way to mess up his relationship with the Rev. McCallister when they're half a world apart.
UPDATE:
NewNowNext (Logo) Midnight EDT
Gay icon and music legend Annie Lennox will be hosting tonight's program.
