Queerview television guide: September 8

The CW tries to revive another Darren Star hit tonight as the new Melrose Place makes its debut. With a mix of campiness and a smidgen of gay-inclusiveness Melrose certainly had its gay fans. Can this new version follow the original?
And that's just part of a packed schedule of gay TV which starts with Fish getting to do some police work on One Life to Live (and join us when we liveblog the action starting at 2 PM Eastern), includes an important moment for Kevin's chances on Big Brother, a Flipping Out betrayal and a double-dose of Kathy Griffin.

It's On with Alexa Chung (MTV) Noon EDT
What could possibly be worth watching Kathy Lee Gifford? I think a meeting between her and the woman who often gets called Kathy Lee Gifford, Kathy Griffin, should count for something. Meanwhile, Kathy also visits Alexa Chung today. Those two interviews should make for an interesting contrast.
The Tyra Banks Show (syndicated) Check local listings
Tyra's certainly tested her relationship with gays with episodes like "The Gay Kingdom" and the "Gay Truth Booth". Today she spends her season premiere debuting her "real hair" and interviewing Perez Hilton, which just might turn out to be another test.
One Life to Live (ABC) Check local listings
It's a big week for the Llanview PD and that includes gay Officer Fish and today it kicks off with a big move as McBain arrests the mayor.
Big Brother (CBS) 9:00 PM EDT
The final three gets decided on tonight's eviction ceremony. While Kevin is nominated, Head of Household Natalie says another houseguest is her target. Either way, tonight's episode should be key to Kevin's chances in the game -- and if he makes it to the final three, the three-part competition to determine the last Head of Household begins tonight.

Melrose Place (CW) 9:00 PM EDT
Victor Webster doesn't show up until next week as sports-watching, cigar-smoking, guy-dating Caleb, but in he meantime it'll be interesting to see if the two returning Melrose Place residents, Michael and Sydney, still resemble the characters that kept me watching the original edition long past the shark-jumping point.
The Secret Lives of Women (weTV) 10:00 PM EDT
Tonight's episode deals with tales of "nasty divorces" including a look at the split between "Gay-American" and former Governor James McGreevey.
Flipping Out (Bravo) 10:00 PM EDT
Over in Jeffland, an employee "commits the ultimate act of betrayal", which leaves me wondering if recent hire Shawn will quickly turn out to be one of those decisions that Jeff regrets.
Addicted to Beauty (Oxygen) 10:00 PM EDT
Diane holds a VIP pajama party, which makes two NBC/Universal 10PM reality shows to have an episode about a pajama party. Is this a new trend?
In case some of you can't wait until 10PM to get your Ted Allen fix...
Chopped (Food Network) 10:00 PM EDT
Ted Allen returns to host what might be called a short all-star season of his food network cooking competition over the next four episodes.
The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS) 12:30 AM EDT
Last week, he visited Dave and tonight Neil Patrick Harris stops by to chat with Craig.
Daytime Preview for Wednesday, September 9
The Bonnie Hunt Show (syndicated) Check local listings
Bonnie previews Glee on Wednesday with cast members Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz.

As the World Turns (CBS) Check local listings
When Noah offers Mason a bit of help, will that bring out Luke's green eyed monster, once again?
