Queerview television guide: September 28

One more gay-inclusive series debuts tonight with NBC's medical series Trauma, which follows first-responder paramedics in San Francisco, including a gay paramedic.

But first, it's a gay-adjacent morning for talk shows as Jesse Tyler Ferguson visits E!'s new morning show and Kathy Griffin chats with Wendy Williams.

Modern Famly's gay dad Jesse Tyler Ferguson visits to talk up the season's new comedy hit.

Kathy Griffin has shown she can click with just about any host (hm, words that just left me imagining what it would be like to see Kathy work her way through various Fox News shows) and today we see if she can handle the fly that haunts Williams' studio.

Greek (ABC Family) 9:00 PM EDT
I wasn't planning on including Greek in today's queerview since there's no mention of Calvin or Grant in the synopsis but IMDB lists Gregory Michael in the cast for this episode which, hopefully, means there's some story in store for them - thought with the ZBZs trying to raise their status, the Kappa Taus pushing their commitmentphobia on Rusty and the Evan/Cappie bromance continuing, I'm not sure how much time there is for another story.

Trauma (NBC) 9:00 PM EDT
I'm feeling mixed on my anticipation level for this series. On one hand "gritty gay-inclusive NBC drama" makes me think of Southland, a show with plenty of promise. However, the reviews I've seen found Trauma to be lacking in the character development area ... and with the sinking Heroes for a lead-in, maybe I shouldn't get attached.

CSI: Miami even found a reason for Cibrian to take his shirt off

CSI: Miami (CBS) 10:00 PM EDT
Last week's season premiere had Denis O'Hare guest on the show and this week Robert Gant appears when a gunman takes hostages at the CSI offices. I guess someone wanted to make sure I tuned in to see that AfterElton Hot 100 regular Eddie Cibrian had joined the cast this season?

Chelsea Lately! (E!) 11:00 PM EDT
Ross Matthews is on the panel tonight as comic Lisa Lampenelli takes on Chelsea.
