Friday
As the World Turns (CBS) 1:00 PM EST
Today's the day Noah, love interest for gay teen Luke Snyder, shows up in Oakdale. So far (aside from ignoring him for long periods of time) ATWT has managed to write Luke with a level of sensitivity and depth that's often lacking on the rest of the show. When Luke struggled with his identity, his father was troubled not by worries about having a gay son but that Luke didn't feel free to talk about a crisis he was facing. This past Wednesday, Luke had a couple great scenes where he talked about feeling left out of the dating scene, a conversation that could nicely set the tone for a summer romance. Hopefully, ATWT will live up to that promise.
Saturday
The Lair (here!TV) On Demand
The latest offering from Here!TV debuts today, this time offering a steamy drama that mixes vampires with the expected cast of stunningly attractive men. And be sure to come back next week for our fresh and revealing new interview with head vamp Peter Stickles (Shortbus).
Sunday
Hollyoaks: The Story So Far (BBC America) 6:30 PM EST
We've mentioned the popular British soap opera Hollyoaks for the complicated same-sex romance between Craig and John Paul, before. The popular soap will become available to American viewers Monday when the soap debuts on BBC America, starting around the time of John Paul's introduction. Tonight, the cable network is airing a half-hour recap episode getting you caught up on the action.

What is CBS contact info?
I don't recommend that people write in and say, "YAY LUKE AND NOAH ARE THE HOT", since the story has not even started yet (and given the way Luke is treated and how poorly written this show is, I won't be surprised if Noah is made straight so he can be paired with some wretch like Maddie, or if they have Jade seduce him, or if he turns out to be a crazy stalker type who uses Luke). But I think that people should write CBS and ATWT and thank them for giving Luke a story, because the network is probably sweating over this and will look for any reason to kill the story. Not even 10 years ago, Y&R dropped an interracial romance, supposedly due to negative letters and reaction from fans.
Here is some contact info
CBS already did an ATWT survey on its website a few months ago asking if Luke should have a love interest. Since there was plenty of time to stop the storyline, I'm hoping that the initial response was positive. However, it's good to show some support (though it probably means something that they're getting mentioned in some media outlets).
Indian Gay film on Spielberg's "On the Lot" this week.
I'm promoting a film for On The Lot contestant, Shalini Kantayya, an Indian progressive filmmaker who's a Top 15 finalist. We'll get a chance to vote for her piece on Indian gay comedian, Vidur Kapur, this Tuesday, June 5th at 8pm. Check it out and vote for her! Voting instructions will be posted here:

Comcast didn't have LAIR
I checked my system and it's
The Lair..of Porn Stars
I finally got to watch The Lair and I was surprised that a lot of faces were familiar to me. I know that Colton Ford retired so seeing him was fun but when did Brad Benton change his name and his hair color? I shouldn't probably be this surprised since we've seen him on DC (with other stars like Jacon Slader, Cole Ryder and other gay porn staples). What really made my day is Michael Von Steel as the sexy bearded victim, Yum.
And no, I don't think I watch a lot of porn. Heh.
