Pre-Valentine Quiz: Looking for love in a cape or cowl
Thanks to our own Dwiz, I got to find out who my superhero love match is. It's a pretty lengthy quiz, and interestingly enough the very first question is: "Are you gay?" Once that's established, questions like "Are you trying to get busy on the first date?", "Do you like hights or flying?" "Do you like boys more powerful than you?" and "Do you like bisexual boys?" take you through a variety of interesting possibilities. In the end, I got Beast:
Smart, strong, witty, and snuggly, Beast will either take you out for a night of sophisticated bliss or will make you laugh your rear off. Just make sure to bring a lint brush. Sigh. I always get Beast when doing a quiz like this. I can see us getting along personally but, while looks aren't the most important thing, I wouldn't be able to kiss him without thinking that I'm fulfilling Rick Santorum's ideas of the dangers of letting gays marry. I could see having a chaste Catherine and Vincent type relationship but anything more would be off-putting. My second closest match was Spider-Man:
Spider-Man is perfect for you. He's totally nerdy and always cracking jokes. And cute! A date at the museum or a movie would be right up his alley. Don't expect to spend the whole evening together though, Spider-Man's known for ducking out early. Okay, I can imagine myself having a lot of fun on a date with Peter Parker. He's cute, smart and pretty funny when he loosens up. Plus he's got that agility and those mad photojournalism skills which are pretty damn sexy. My third closest match was Iceman:
Mostly sensitive, but with a temper that can leave you in the cold, Bobby Drake is for the girl who never gets the nICE guy. Okay, Bobby always seemed like a fun guy and he's usually drawn to be cute as a barrel of puppies, but what's with all the Marvel guys? I've always been more of a DC fanboy so none of these results got me too excited. However, I wondered why answering "Hellz yeah!" to "Are you gay?" didn't get me any gay characters. I started playing with the questions, changing an answer or two to see how it affected the results. Sometimes the new match made little sense - I changed my answer on "Do you like big muscles?" from a 'sorta' (4 out of 5) to a "Not at all" and I got Colossus as a result with The Thing a close match. If you're not familiar with Colossus, setting him up with someone who says they don't like big muscles at all is something you'd expect out of the producers of Big Brother.
Even his description is about his big muscles: Tall, Russian and made of steel Colossus is one country bumpkin who knows how to plow a field. Similarly, changing "Do you care if your date is wealthy?" from 'not really' (2 out of 5) to "Hellz yeah!" got me a match with Nightwing ... did I miss out on a story arc where Dick Greyson inherited the secret Greyson fortune or something? Was that part of Countdown or one of those series I avoided even the summaries? I never did get a gay character. Ah well, at least I finally did get DC's dream date. But I'm curious to what kind of superhero love matches our readers get? Who's your superhero love match? Let us know in the comments! Submitted by on Wed, 2008-02-13 15:58. |

Hmm...
I got the Rawhide Kid and a slightly dirty comment about how he was worth a "crack" shot
My two runners-up were Madman (who I've never even heard of) and Iceman.
I got Colossus!
I also got Colossus,
I also got Colossus, followed by Beast and Nightwing.
I must say Colossus scares me more than he turns me on...
HMMM indeed
In reference to the questionaire, I do prefer boxers over briefs. I just hope no self-respecting superhero would wear them under tights.
Don't trouble yourself Doctor -- I'm a celebrity, I'll write my own prescription.
Super Hero Hunkdom
Well it seems my Super Lovers are:
Gambit at 94%
Hugh JackmanWolverine at 76.4%and Northstar at 65.8%
Looks like my valentines day should be pretty good.
Suprised...
really suprised, but interested.
Batman - Colossus - Thor
BTW, Northstar is gay right? There you go.
Another Beast
Beast 68.2%
Captain America 65.8 % (but I'm Canadian so I have trouble seeing a relationship there).
Alan Scott 63.4 %
I Got Cable

Um... Help here...

Hmm...I got Puck (who i've never heard of)
Second was Spider-Ham (really....a costumed pig is my second best match???? thanx a lot).
Third was Iceman (who i'd take out of the three of them)
Spider Ham?
(They had room for Spider Ham, but no one's gotten any Legion boys?)

Dammit!
They tried to hook me up with Thing!!! At least Spidey came in third. Guess next time I'll have to lie about a few things.

I got Johnny Storm (The Human Torch), Gambit and Northstar. Alright.
That's a foursome I'd love to see.
Awesome!
I got Spider-Man (Who just happens to be my favorite superhero), followed by Gambit and some dude name Madman.
Funny, Spidey and Gambit seem like complete opposites, but apparently they're both right for me! I ain't complainin'.
I got Luke and Noah. Nah, Spidey at 70%
Since I can press buttons, I took the test and at least I recognized two of my relative matches: Spider Man and Batman. In between them was Iron Man, who I've never heard of, but I hope that he makes for a good date.
At least it wasn't the annoying Great Gazoo from The Flinstones or something like that.
You really have never heard of Iron Man before?
Jon Favreau has directed an Iron Man movie that comes out May 2, 2008, starring Robert Downey Jr in the title role.

I got matched with:
Beast 70% (wow, he really gets around doesn't he?)
Rawhide Kid 67.6% (I hear he's openly gay)
Madman 65.8% (never heard of him before)
I used to be the go to person for all that was popular culture
I just saw the trailer for the Iron Man and for two seconds I actually thought that may have been a parody of that Iron Chef cooking show.
Has anyone heard anything about Jumper? The previews looked amazing, but it's getting slammed. And I did see the sequel to the Fantastic Four.... Chris Evans and that sexy hairy chest. Grrrrrrr!!!! Even the surfer thing was kind of homoerotic. There may still be a sci-fi/comics person waiting to come out.
Actually...
My match has a new movie
I got...
I got Beast (67.6%), followed by Spiderman and Batman.
All pretty typical superheroes, although Beast is an interesting choice. :)
My Match was Cable...
My match
This was so neat, Mine was The Thing (from fantastic 4) at 64% Rock Hard and Sensitive!
Then the hulk at 62.8%
Then Collossus at 62%
