Librarian cartoonists enshrine BrentThe gay teen books of our own Brent Hartinger have been translated into six languages, adapted for the stage, and will soon be hitting the silver screen. But this cartoon makes his first foray into being, well, a cartoon. It's the work of Bill Barnes and Gene Ambaum, two librarians with a BIIIIG cult following who take books of which they are especially fond and turn them into clever cartoons that play off the book somehow. In this case, they've taken the "flip book" concept of Brent's latest book, Split Screen: Attack of the Soul-Sucking Brain Zombies/Bride of the Soul-Sucking Brain Zombies (two thematically-related books published together, upside-down and back to back) and cleverly portrayed it graphically. Note: you'll have to turn your computer screen upside down to enjoy the full effect!
