Is "Inception"'s Tom Hardy Bisexual? Nope

In an interview with the Daily Mail, actor Tom Hardy (Inception) discusses the fact that he's had same-sex relationships. But while the Mail and other sites are trumpeting the news "Tom Hardy Had Sexual Relations with Men" the story isn't quite that simple.

What the Mail actually quotes Hardy as saying when asked about sex with men is "As a boy? Of course I have. I'm an actor for ****'s sake."

Not exactly having sex with men. But then Hardy also said, "I've played with everything and everyone. I love the form and the physicality, but now that I'm in my thirties, it doesn't do it for me."

Which begs the question, how does Hardy define the word "boy?" Does he mean someone in his early 20s? Or is he talking simple teen experimentation?

Ultimately, that isn't really all that relevant. What does seem relevant is that Hardy, in the midst of the huge success of Inception, feels completely comfortable discussing the issue. That's pretty novel. Hardy also said:

I'm done experimenting but there's plenty of stuff in a relationship with another man, especially gay men, that I need in my life. A lot of gay men get my thing for shoes. I have definite feminine qualities and a lot of gay men are incredibly masculine.

Hmm, just three weeks ago we asked the question When Will Bisexual Chic Hit Men?

Perhaps it just did.

Update: It turns out the full quote makes it clear that Hardy is not bisexual and the Daily Mail took Hardy's words out of context. Nonetheless it is terrific Hardy is so comfortable discussing these issues.
