AfterElton Briefs: Barrowman behind the scenes, sinking shows, missing gays and more!

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • Renew in haste, repent at leisure. Someone at TNT might have some explaining to do about renewing their new Stephen Bochco legal drama Raising the Bar after just three episodes. Turns out the show has lost 71% of its audience since the season premiere. I called this one a stinker and said it should be one of the first canceled. However, I'll be gracious and only say, "Nyah, nyah, nyah!"
  • Amazon.com features a "Behind the scenes" clip of John Barrowman filming the video for his first single of his upcoming album called "Music Music Music". The single is called "What about us?" and features a gay and straight couple acting out the story. And I am so there! There! There!

  • Charlie Herschel's first episode of Survivor hasn't even aired and already he's making news as a friend of Clay Aiken's. Just don't call him a Claymate.
  • The first U.S. trailer for Breakfast with Scot is now available online. It differs from the Canadian trailer by having Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin swoop in carrying a moose-hunting gun as she rescues Scot from the two nasty homosexuals. At least that's how I remember it.
  • Inner city youth deciding dressing gay is cool? I'm down with that.
  • Speaking of Palin, conservative commentator Andrew Sullivan notes that no one seems able to locate any of the gay friends she claims to have.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

This guy!
