AfterElton Snapshot: Your desperate campaign tactics for the week ending October 17

YOUR CAPTION HERE
As we go into the weekend, here's a handy shortlist of the biggest stories of the week on AfterElton.com. And to get you into a playful mood, each Friday's final post will feature a pic up top that desperately needs captioning. Each week we'll pick our fave suggestion from the comments and run it in the following week's post. Have fun! Drop your caption ideas in the comments, and check out last week's winner after the jump!
- Just in time for Sunday's episode of Brothers & Sisters, we've got new pics of Scotty who has the best smile of the decade. Plus Dave Foley as Uncle Saul's blind date. And don't forget Steven Frank gave B&S the recap treatment.
- The stars turned out for the GLSEN RESPECT Awards and our own Daniel Leary was there to chat with them on the red carpet.
- Salvatore (Bryan Batt) on Mad Men got the shock of his life when a new gay popped up on the show. Not just any gay guy either this one is out!
- Kevin returned to As the World Turns to play John McCain to Luke's Barack Obama (at least that's how I see it). Here is the clip itself. Plus we asked ATWT's head writer if Nuke would ever go all the way.

Luke (Van Hansis), Noah (Jake Silbermann)
- Things were"sucky" on HBO's True Blood. But we mean that in a good way! Plus Brian sat down and talked with Lafayette (AKA Nelsan Ellis) himself! For the record, Brian denies all charges he is now doing "V".
- Sean Penn proved again that Milk is "what's good for you". Assuming you aren't lactose intolerant!
- Lance danced again on Dancing with the Stars, but did he live to dance another day? And speaking of Mr. Bass, check out our exclusive interview!
- Part of General Hospital: Night Shift went off with a bang. And if you don't know why you should be watching then start here! And GH:NS wasn't the only soap feeling explosive this week. Hollyoaks was headed that way as well.
- We got our grubby paws on exclusive pics of the upcoming gay flick Were the World Mine. Do you like straight boys falling for gay boys? Then this is your movie.

Alexandar Aguilar, Adam Gauzza, Matthew McMunn, Walter
Thon, Kenneth Gasch
- Given the world's recent economic woes, it's hard to imagine you're better off finanically now than you were eight years ago, but how much better are things now when it comes to gay characters?
- Our theater critic Michael Portantiere started blogging about Broadway this week plus he reviewed gay-fave Patrick Wilson in the latest go round of Arthur Miller's All My Sons.
- Who won the latest edition of Project Runway? All I know is that it wasn't one of Team Gay, but if you missed it, Brian liveblogged the whole thing.
- Here is one straight woman who doesn't tolerate the gays, but actually loves us.
- Along with this week's informative Flying Monkey, Brent also introduced the AfterElton.com HotLists.
- Interest in Survivor's "bromance" remained high thanks to an intriguing "love bite" involving Charm.

- The week in vlogs brought us Cyd's latest football predictions on Jock Talk, Alexi and Eric suggested how to dress on the first date (I vote slutty!), Rob discussed the new Noah's Arc movie on Mocha Lounge, and Marc and Lee's Angry Puppy looked at what happens when sci fi goes bad.
- The week in recaps included Ugly Betty and Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency.
- The week in Gay Geek included....Diane Von Furstenberg?
- And thanks to associate editor Brian Juergens we had the BEST.GAY.WEEK.EVER!
