Exclusive: Rapper Ash Roth Not Gay According to Manager

Late this afternoon the blogosphere started buzzing with reports that American rapper Ash Roth would be coming out in an interview. Terence Dean, the founder and creator of Men's Empowerment Inc. posted on his blog that "Asher Roth Admits He is the Gay Rapper From My Book."

Scooter Braun , CEO of Schoolboy Music and Roth's manager, just spoke with AfterElton.com and had the following to say.

Asher's straight. He's in a serious relationship with a woman. Someone not a fan of Asher is trying to hurt him this way in hip hop and thought this would be a way to hurt his career. Asher's probably not going to make a statement and doesn't want to dignify this. It's sad that it's almost 2010 and they think this is a way to belittle him.

I personally find it sad they would use sexual preference as something that is negative.

Asher is probably one of the most .... he judges everyone for what they are and their true character. He doesn't pay attention to this. His girlfriend got the biggest kick out of it. She got the biggest kick and laughed about it. He wants to pay no attention or justify it with a statement. [Being gay] isn't something anyone should have to defend.

He added that Asher has some great music coming out in 2010 and just wants to focus on that.
