Cyndi Lauper's True Colors launches in Las VegasCyndi Lauper's "True Colors Tour" launched Saturday night in Las Vegas. Since we know most of you couldn't attend, here are a some pictures. So dye your hair, put on you favorite Lauper album (I'm partial to her first one!), check out these pictures and you'll feel like you were practically there yourself!
Cyndi, understated as always! Girls just want to wear crazy hats
Cyndi partnered with the "Human Rights Campaign" to raise awareness for gay rights. Something tells me she's pretty much guaranteed herself title of "Straight Ally of the Year".
Drummer Brian Viglione of The Dresden Dolls. He's only wearing the nightie because it "breathes" so well and it gets awfully hot on stage, after all.
Blondie's Debbie Harry proving she can still rock it
Okay, I love Cyndi, Debbie and The Indigo Girls, but where the heck are the gay boys on this thing?
Here we go! Andy Bell of Erasure
And Vince Clarke, also of Erasure
Shortly after this photo was take, The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck stormed the stage causing Rosie to grab Elisabeth by the ankles, swing her around her head, and hurl into the mosh pit where she was never heard from again.
And Ms. Margaret Cho looking fierce as she does her hosting duties Submitted by on Mon, 2007-06-11 11:19. |

True Colours
Margaret Cho on Mix 97.1
The (very gay-friendly) morning show of the local radio station that I listen to interviewed Margaret Cho this morning. She was very cool, as always, and it was great to hear her sparring with the morning personalities (Margaret Cho and Alan Kable, the show's namesake, kept on calling each other "girl", and they discussed Richard Simmons' short shorts, amoung other things). It was also great seeing some buzz generated over the True Colors Tour in the "mainstream media".
Margeret and the True Colors Tour get an honorable mention in the Alan Kable Show blog: http://blog.mix971.net/alankabelshow/2007/06/new_you_tuesday.html
