Dennis Miller and Bill O'Reilly think the idea of Barney Frank getting raped in prison is hilarious!

Dennis Miller, Bill O'Reilly

Man, some conservatives just can't get over themselves about gay men and sex, can they? And given how many times they go after Barney Frank, it sure seems as if they can't handle a gay man with power who doesn't conform to their stereotypes of gay men. Case in point, Miller uses the issue of the government's recent bailout of AIG as a chance to crack a joke about Barney Frank wanting to get arrested.

Let me save Miller the bother of apologizing. It's not accepted because I wouldn't believe it had an iota of sincerity to it.

Sick.

I miss the old Dennis

I really used to like Dennis Miller.  I remember driving 3 hours in college to go to one of his shows - he was sick as a dog and still hillarious.  He used to have a line something to the effect of "not understanding why anyone could hate gay people, hate a whole class of people, when if you just got to know them individually, you could find a host of unique reasons to hate people individually." - and he meant it supportive, and it came across that way, as an ally.

Then he got scared around 9/11.  I don't know why - I was in DC at the time, saw tanks roll down M Street.  It didn't turn me into a freaked out neo-con.  So sad to lose a funny, talented man to fear.

Me too...

I miss the old Dennis, as well. He went through a radical change after 9/11, transforming from a brash counter-culture comedian to an apologist for all things G. W. Bush (GOP).

Could never handle him as a conservative pundit -- there was no humor in that.

What happened to Mr. Miller

What happened to Mr. Miller is painfully obvious.

After failing laughably as a football commentator, he saw his one time popularity as an entertainer going down the tubes, so he reinvented himself as a right wing, braying douchebag to preserve what was left of his rapidly fading career. There was clearly a market for this reactionary jackass punditry. There is an entire cable channel devoted to it!

Mr. Miller is nothing but an opportunistic whore.

Dennis Miller

I agree about him being an opportunistic whore.

I remember both he and Ron Silver said they were so offended by the "leftists" who blamed America for 911 but I guess the "rightists" like Franklin Graham etc... who blamed gays and lesbians were okay.

I don't know why straight men find prison rape so funny.

I never found Miller to be

I never found Miller to be a credible "liberal."

I think he's showing his true colors now.

You know...

I'm with you. I don't know what it is, but something has always rung false to me with his whole shtick. (And I don't just mean his ill-advised acting career.)

I never found Miller to be

especially funny either. I always thought his act was mostly about getting people to laugh at his supposedly intelligent references to show how intelligent they were. I usually got his references but never found them really amusing.

Time revealed the real Dennis

Dennis the Menace is what they should call him.  His humor was the kind that you either got or you didn't and normally I was too busy thinking that he was semi-attractive with his mullet and his completely 80's attire, equipped with MC Hammer matching jackets and pants.

I remember he would have a slew of jokes about sex, hookers, and drugs which I thought at the time was a bit much but he seemed like the next coming of the late and great George Carlin, who I must add was someone that was so Pro-Gay, it wasn't funny.  Once again, I was fooled by Dennis Miller's looks because he isn't bad to look at.

I came to the conclusion that he was a decent comedian, that wanted that Robin Williams and Eddie Murphy morph or transition into tv and movies and it didn't happen for him.  Now he has teamed up with the Satan himself, Bill O'Reily, who doesn't like anything publicly.  Bill O'Reily makes a living being anti-everything and now he has gotten Dennis Miller joining him.  This is just my opinion but something tells me that privately both these guys are cruising bookstores and truck stops, looking for a bit of action and not that I have anything against that.  I say more power to them.

Assuming that because Barney is gay, that it's ok to assume that he would love going to prison because in prison life is like the old gay HBO classic 'OZ'.  What they fail to realize that not only is Barney big in the political world and is extremely vocal about the treatment of all people but he is in a loving and commited relationship for some time.  I think they shouldn't poke fun at someone like Barney, who spend most of his life fighting and taking a stand for justice, equality and understanding for all Americans.

The dynamic duo of fools would egged one another on with their comments about Barney, like two little homophobes with nothing better to do than mess with the gay guy.
