Doctor Who gets gay again with return of John Barrowman and addition of Derek Jacobi

For those of us Yanks eagerly awaiting the arrival of John Barrowman's Captain Jack on this side of the pond, I've got a little appetizer to wet your appetite while we wait. Captain Jack showed up in the latest episode of Doctor Who which aired Saturday night in the UK and we've got some clips from it. Barrowman is his dashing self, but as a gay bonus, the episode also features another out Brit actor, the one-and-only Derek Jacobi of Gladiator, Gosford Park, Dead Again, and pretty much everything Shakespeare every did. ***Mild Spoiler*** While Barrowman plays the good guy, Jacobi gets to chew up the scenery as a villain. The new season of Doctor Who is set to air stateside next month and this particular ep should air here just about the time Torchwood finally debuts.

Here are some pics from Saturday's ep and the clip is after the jump.

That's Jacobi, Freeman Agyeman (Martha), David Tennant (The Doctor) and Barrowman

Speaking of Barrowman, the actor recently announced on his blog that his autobiography, titled Anything Goes, will be published in Spring 2008.

Enjoy the clip after the jump!

    Classic Doctor Who

Yes, Saturday's episode was a treat, in no small part because of Mr Barrowman and Sir Jacobi. (cough-b1tt0rrent-cough) The first ten minutes of the accompanying "Confidential" was all about how sexy John Barrowman is, and how happy everyone was to have him back on the set. BTW "Doctor Who Confidential" is a forty minute making-of documentary, broadcast on BBC three just after each episode. I don't think Sci-Fi will carry "Confidential", at least it hasn't in the past, but it will undoubtedly be on the DVD later on.

And to add to the list of Sir Jacobi's notable roles: "I, Claudius" was a superb BBC drama from 1976, with Derek Jacobi, Patrick Stewart, John Hurt, and Ian "The Saint" Ogilvy. Highly recommended.

    Oooh yeah........

......where there is a will, there is a way. It helps to have lovely pal gals in UK that send links.....make some friends.....get some Jack....

This man is so ridiculously good looking. The way he hits on everything that moves just makes him totty for all of human kind. An equal opportunity drool fest....

If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

    incredible flirt

    Capt Jack: "well hello..."

    Dr: "Don't start!"

Capt Jack:"Can't I say hello to anyone?"

    Dr: "for you, that's starting"

Part of the hotness of JB is that Capt Jack is such an incredible flirt. What would it be like to have all of that attention on you...?

    Capt. Jack's Back!

I love Capt. Jack, I mean who doesn't dig a bisexual space cowboy?  I'm almost positive that someone is sending my partner all the episodes of TORCHWOOD and that's a good thing!  God bless Region Free DVD Players.
