"Forbidden Love" video clip update: Two Boys in Love

First off, there wasn't even supposed to be any Ollian scenes on Forbidden Love and then we got so many kisses it was actually hard to keep track of them.

Olli went out grocery shopping and brought back Christian's favorite yogurt which led to a round of kissy-face and then some teasing about Christian's working with hot sports students. Olli teases that Christian's being closeted at work will keep him from being hit on by those student.

After that, their roommate bribes them to spend the evening away from home so she can have a hot date, but when they come home later with some bubbly to have their own hot date on the couch they find her sobbing in teh dark. I find two things great about this particular segment. First, the way the show is portraying Olli and Christian as two guys in love is so fun and light-hearted that I find it truly refreshing. Watching how they playfully interact, teasing each other, grabbing and kissing like a couple of goofy schoolkids is just great. Nothing against coming out storylines and accepting speeches from friends and families, but I think just seeing two guys in love behaving so naturally is as important as those coming out stories. It's so normalizing without making a big deal out of it.

Secondly, I love that they guys are involved in their roommates life as well and don't exist in some gay bubble where we hardly ever see other straight people. I wrote yesterday about how easy it is for gay characters to just disappear, but by keeping Ollian involved in other storylines gives them more to do than just be gay.
