Gay, Straight...or Lame? It's all in the Details.

The good folks over at Details took the trouble to get in touch with me personally to let me know their "Gay or ....?" column in the current issue might be of special interest to our readers. In case, you don't read Details — You either!?! — each month they present a pic of someone dressed up to resemble someone else such as Hillary Clinton or a third world dictator, and then "humorously" ponder whether that person is gay or straight based on observations of how they look.

Not a bad bit a couple of times, but Details has been flogging it for a quite a while — and not always to the amusement of the gay community.

Anyway, this month's issue brings the idea to its logical conclusion by presenting readers with "Gay or Straight?"

The whole thing is fairly innocuous, but it did annoy me that the paragraph with the description reads:

One's hot for the ladies, the other much prefers his fellow man. Whether he's cruising the nearest glory hole or picking up the scent of a woman, this guy advances the Homo sapiens agenda: eating, sleeping, and tending to his inflamed nether regions. So get a grip on your manhood, because behind two great sexual orientations stands a great one-track mind.
