John Barrowman gives us his Hot 100 picks. So does his sister!

Carole Barrowman and her brother Hottie McHot Hot John Barrowman

In 2008, John Barrowman had an amazing year with his hit show Torchwood, a new book, a new album and more TV appearances than your local weatherman. And John also came oh-so-close to taking the top spot on the 2008 Hot 100

To help us celebrate this year's Hot 100 we thought it would be fun to ask some winners from previous years to share their choices for this year's list, and John was gracious enough to oblige. And just for fun, we decided to ask John's sister and frequent collaborator, author Carole Barrowman, for her choices as well (even though they won't count since, well, she's not a gay or bi man!).

Here are John's choices:

1. Neil Patrick Harris       2. Cheyenne Jackson

4. David Beckham        5. Ben Ellis

6. Patrick Dempsey       7. Daniel Craig

8. Russell Tovey       9. James Marsden

And here are Carole's:

1. Johnny Depp        2. Jesse Martin

3. Simon Baker       4. Skeet Ulrich

7. James Franco       8. Brad Pitt

9. David Tennant       10. Ashton Kutcher

Just about now, sharp-eyed readers are probably saying, "Hold on, that's only eight each and you promised me John and Carole's ten choices! And I want those last two NOW!"

Relax everyone. I here are their final two which I've broken out because these choices overlap. John chose David Bromstad as his 3rd choice and Clive Owen as his tenth choice while Carole had them right next to each other in the fifth and sixth spots.

David Bromstad and Clive Owen

Anyone care to anaylze the famous siblings' selections for similarities in their tastes? What is about Bromstad and Owen that appears to both John and Carole? And whose picks do you like best?

And if you haven't already voted, don't forget to do so

A little suprised

Hasn't John made out with David Tennant? Does his not picking him say something about David's kissing ability?

As for Russel Tovey, I don't believe John has worked with him in the Whoverse. Has he worked with him elsewhere?

And it's kinda obvious from Any Dream Will Do John has a thing for Ben Ellis.

I'm a bit disappointed

that Gareth David-Lloyd didn't make John Barrowman's list, considering how often the two of them make out with each other at fan events.

I'll just assume that John considers unexplored territory hotter than places he's already visited.

Anyone who watched Any Dream Will Do should be completely unsurprised by Ben Ellis's place on the list - the kid went way further on that show with John as a judge than he should have! Having now seen Ellis live on stage in Hairspray, I can confirm that he comes across much sexier in person than he does on screen. (He's still not a great singer, mind you.)

I re-watched to see how much

I re-watched to see how much audience manipulation they did, and when it comes to Ben, they purposely gave him bad songs every other week so they could kick off the weaker/less liked by the producers contestants with ease, since Ben can act and has a seriously powerful voice - in some parts of the sing-off he'd drown the other one out.  They only finally dropped him when he went up against Lewis, who was what Lloyd webber had described as his perfect Joseph at the beginning, and went on to be Lee's understudy and alternate.
