Meet "Forbidden Love"'s Ollian at Whistler's Winter Pride!

This could be you!

Great news North American Ollian fans! If you've been dreaming of the chance to actually meet the German men of your dreams, then your dreams may have just been answered! That's right — Jo Weil and Thore Scholermann, better known around here as Ollian (or Chrolli for some of you) are coming to North America as part of WinterPride, also known as Gay Ski Week, in Whistler, British Columbia.

All of the details after the jump!

This year's festivities take place from February 1 - 8 and Jo and Thore will be present from February 5th thru the 8th. The fellows are going to be involved in the following activities:

  • Thursday, Feb. 5th, United Colors of WinterPRIDE Fashion Show 8-11PM (8-8:45 an opportunity to meet Jo and Thore for autographs)
  • Friday, Feb. 6th - Tentative Ski experience with Jo & Thore, Village T-Dance from 3-6PM and the MountainTOP Party 7-12AM on Whistler Mountain
  • Saturday, Feb. 7th - Swiss Apres Ski Party 3-6PM 
  • Saturday, Feb. 7th - Mr. Gay World 8-10PM
  • Saturday, Feb. 7th - Snowball After Party 10-4AM 
  • Sunday, Feb. 8th - Brunch 10-1PM

Sounds like fun, huh? Even better, AfterElton.com will be there bringing you coverage including a video interview with Jo and Thore. Try not to hate us too much!

    Make sure you guys report on what Thore and Jo like to eat at the brunch.  For some reason, their dining scenes on VL have a special place in my heart, especially the one where Olli was berating Christian for eating everything on Olli's plate.

    And if we could get as many facial expressions as AE is able from Thore -- Mr. Mann of a Million Faces -- that would just be a dream come true.

    I can't wait for AE's coverage and report.  And this great exposure for Thore and Jo.  Good for them.  They deserve all the great things coming their way.

    Exposure is good! I'd say it's NOW the time for Thore (especially) to improve his English, as you never know what it might bring and which doors it could open.

    OMG!! i'm so jealous. Although, if I was to meet either Jo or Thore I think I would be struck silent.

    I can't wait for the report back!!. Please Michael, please get some great pictures of them.  And maybe, just maybe the charm of the AE crew can get a little tibit on what's next in store for Ollian.

    Anyway... I stumbled on this article on the Das Erste website about the international fan reastion to Olli & Christian.

    The babelfish translation is amusing.

    On this upsetting resonance hardly anyone would probably have counted: " Forbidden Liebe" - Pair of olive Sabel and Christian man provides world-wide for sensation. Italian television stations, French newspapers, English Lifstyle of magazines, Canadian on-line forums and inquiries from America… all want Jo and Thore!

    Fan post office without end

    Since then the two in VL their love live, pass for Jo and Thore no day without letters and emails from the whole world. The attractive actors spend daily hours to answer all inquiries. Letters with the exotic postmarks do not only wobble in, also catch Schenke stack themselves in their sheaf robe: Kuscheltiere from New Zealand, T-shirt from America, a i-Pod from Singapore. Both VL-star are and away of the enthusiasm of their fans and surprised, who waves its series history strikes: " It is mad and makes proud that we became for many humans a model and they draw from it Kraft for their private Leben" , Jo says. " Is simply unbelievable and a beautiful confirmation for our work as Schauspieler" , Thore supplements.

    International Hype

    Also the international press got wind of the Hype around the VL-couple. A Fotoshooting for an English Lifestyle magazine, an interview in Rimini for an Italian TV-transmitter, even American " Bibel" the DAILY Soap magazines " Soap Opera Weekly" writes over the two. A chat of a Canadian Internet platform broke down after 15 minutes, because so many humans from the whole world logged in that the server made schlapp. The Pressestelle " Forbidden Liebe" and translate interviews by page get calls from the whole world into English. Even the editorship team of the American success series " As the World Turns" flew authors " Forbidden Liebe" for the creative change to New York!

    One may be strained, as it continues…
    I've asked a german friend to translate more accurately the "As the World Turns" remark.  I'm intensely curious about that.

    I'm so envious.... but so glad you will be there for those of us who would wish we could be there. PLEASE PLEASE bring us loads of stories/pictures/and charming and interesting interview(s) with our wonderful VL boys!

    at the airport in Vancouver, where I work. Would like to find out if they are flying in direct from Germany or from another direction. Would it be too rude to stalk the Lufthansa counters?

    hahaha not at all. Hey if nothing else, Lufthansa's got some delicious looking flight attendants. I only with I knew how to ski. Would make the trip from Burnaby totally worth it
