Offense taken at "No Offense" NOM ad

One of my favorite things about the Internet is how quickly and effectively pro-gay marriage groups are "jujitsuing" the rhetoric being spewed out by homophobic groups such as the National Organization for Marriage. Too often the traditional media still takes a "fair and balanced" approach, but again and again gay groups turn the words and actions of homophobic groups right back on them.

All of the spoofs done of the NOM's "Gathering Storm" ad are a perfect example of that, as was the response put out by Love Not Laws called "Weathering the Storm" featuring folks such as Alec Mapa and Wilson Cruz.

Now Love Not Laws is back with a response to NOM's "No Offense" ad featuring Miss California and Perez Hilton. Called "Offense Taken", the Love Not Laws response explains just why gay people are offended not only by the ad, but NOM's lies about us and attacks on our rights.

You can already hear the wingnuts screaming that you can't equate rights with civil rights for black people or other religions. And we're the ones who want special rights. BTW, don't you just love the subtle slam on Miss California not being qualified to debate the issue? Ha!
