Both Sean Penn and Dustin Lance Black spoke movingly about what winning their Oscars meant to them and about gay visibility.

After Dustin Lance Black and Sean Penn won their Oscars, they answered reporters questions backstage about what winning meant. Dustin was especially moving having to stop because he was still so overwhelmed by the experience. Penn meanwhile spoke passionately about equality for gay people.

    Hearing them talk really does give me hope that the day is soon in coming.

    Congrats to Milk for two big wins!

    (Also, does anyone have a link to a video of the Pineapple Express skit? I scoured YouTube and did a GoogleVideo search, but couldn't find one.)

    That was an incredibly moving, heartfelt speech. I hope his words didn't fall on deaf ears.

    And for once political acceptance speeches weren't extraneous to the context of the award but the very heart and soul of it.

    Given both the speechs last night it defiently made it the most uplifting night since election day and the most gay-positive. And better than election day i've woken up and havent heard any horrific news to make me depressed for a week.
