The O.C.'s gay legacy

I have to confess I've never seen a single episode of The O.C. so when AE contributing writer Locksley Hall sent me her look at the show's gay legacy, I wasn't sure what to expect. But Locksley always has great ideas and delivers great articles, and after reading her take, I was pleasantly surprised to learn what a gay-friendly show it had been (although not perfect, as Locksley points out). And Locksley isn't the only to espy the show's gay sensibility. YouTube features a number of slash videos pairing up Seth and Ryan including this Brokeback Mountain parody. Check out the article and add in your two cents!

Miss this show...

Reading about the OC again really made me think about how much I miss that show! I really liked it.

And about the article; I think that the first season was more about Ryan/Seth but that became less for each season after that. I never really thought anything more into it, because I loved Ryan/Marissa and Seth/Summer too much.

But when Seth sailed away it really felt like it must have been more then just loosing  a friend. I don't know. They would have been really cute together though, but Summer and Seth are like my favorite couple ever on TV.

'brothers' sail

after reading this article i immediately tuned on to youtube (thank God for youtube! - and afterelton ofcourse)... there are a lot of great slash videos .. and one prominent sign of homosexuality (not just homoerotic) in the "brotherly" seth/ryan relationship is the brothers sail moment... because the sail of the boat showed the colors of the rainbow!
