T.R. Knight to leave Grey's Anatomy as Isaiah Washington gets dumped?

I can't confirm if this is true or not, but a reader who is usually right about these things just tipped me that the National Enquirer has an exclusive about the Grey's Anatomy finale next month. The Enquirer reportedly claims Isaiah Washington is going to get the ax and T.R. Knight is going to leave because he's not happy over the way the show handled the whole "F" word incident.

Normally, I wouldn't give much weight to this, but the Enquirer is the outlet that broke the story in the first place and then there is T.R.'s rather somber demeanor at the GLAAD awards Saturday night where it was noted that he almost seemed like he was counting the days until the show ended. In fact, T.R. told Access Hollywood in an interview that "I just focus on doing the work. That's my job; that's what I'm paid for; and I think that's enough."

Truth or rumor? Impossible to say just now, but I have to say it would be something for Knight to walk away from a monster hit like Grey's. (Boy, would GLAAD look bad for giving the show an award if T.R. really did walk.) On the other hand, he seems really unhappy about how he was treated and it would be great for him to take such a powerful stand by saying, "I won't tolerate being treated this way and having it taken so lightly by the powers-that-be."
