Mocha Lounge Season 2 Launches July 16th!

VH1 Personality and freelance writer Rob Smith returns with Season 2 of The Mocha Lounge with Rob Smith on 7/16 right here on AfterElton.com and the LOGO Online network, and will soon after be syndicated on GBMNews.com, one of the largest gay black websites online. After a successful first season as the breakout show online covering “gay pop culture with a chocolate twist”, The Mocha Lounge with Rob Smith is back at AfterElton.com and Downelink.com on July 16th with more celebrity interviews, more drama, and more hot topics!

The Mocha Lounge with Rob Smith launches Season 2 with the first ever extended on-camera interview with RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and Drag Illusionist extraordinaire Bebe Zahara Benet, where she talks about life after the show, the pride tour, Rebecca Glasscock, and of course the divine miss Ru.

Season 2 will also include an in-depth interview with Hiding in Hip Hop author Terrance Dean where he talks homophobia, hip hop, and his own history in the music industry, and also a joint interview with the two driving forces behind this spring’s indie hit Finding Me: star RayMartell Moore and director Roger Omeus, Jr.

DeMarco Majors

For the finale of Season 2, Rob sits down for a chat with Shirts and Skins star DeMarco Majors on the show, coming out, his budding acting career, and what life is really like for an openly gay basketball player. Though bi-weekly episodes end with the season 2 finale on August 27th, The Mocha Lounge with Rob Smith will also continue on with various special editions dealing with the hot topics pressing the gay community with the new Mocha Lounge Presents… series.

Rob will be joined by special guests from within the community for multiple special episodes dealing with a different topic of interest to the community. Race, gender, sexuality, class, and beyond will be touched upon in the Mocha Lounge Presents… series, and nothing will be kept from discussion.
