"Hollyoaks" video clip update: You, me and he

Things are getting more complicated amongst the trio of Ravi, Kris, and Nancy in this clip from Hollyoaks. Will Kris accept being the odd man out?

Hollyoaks is now officially back on my RADAR, and here are five reasons from just this clip:

1. I now realize what everyone sees in Ravi: he's hot as hell! When he came out rocking the black boxer briefs, I actually did a sitcom double-take.

2. Kris is a fabulous character. He's bitchy, sarcastic, smart, funny, and completely sympathetic, even when he's blatantly manipulating the situation.

3. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for Nancy to inflate and be rolled out of Hollyoaks by the Oompa-Loompas. Seriously, hon, lay of the Nice & Easy Passion Plum hair coloring.

4. Malachy & Mercedes coming up with a novel way to get free drinks. Stay classy, you two!

5. Kris telling his radio listeners "later on we'll be back to probe Ravi even deeper".

I can't decide if they want us to love Kris, hate him, love to hate him, or hate to love him, but he's fascinating to watch. Kudos to actor Gerard McCarthy for making this story entertaining.

According to his Wikipedia page, Gerard has been a very vocal supporter of the Stonewall campaign to stop gay bullying in schools, which makes me like him even more. (And according to Wikipedia, he's also been "linked" to quite a few soap stars in Great Britain. Never underestimate the appeal of a man in a skirt.)
