Adorkable Alert!: 10 nerdilicious nominees for the AfterElton.com Hot 100
As a change of pace from the boring lists of obvious hunks , we thought we'd present some contenders for the AfterElton.com Hot 100 that may not have crossed your minds. These picks may be less conventional (read: more glasses, pocket protectors, IQ points) but no less deserving of consideration ... Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki star in The Big Bang Theory on CBS, and make me wish I had joined AV Squad in high school. Jonathan Capehart The out Washington Post reporter is a frequent contributor to MSNBC, and his big fancy words like "partisan" always impress me. Daniel Eric Gold Daniel plays Ugly Betty's latest nerdy boy-toy (she's used up quite a few). Hopefully he'll stick around awhile. Nate Silver I have an equation for everyone's favorite number cruncher: me - you = blue. John Oliver Definitely my favorite British faux Daily Show reporter. Jameel Jaffer Jameel is another MSNBC smartypants who's also a lawyer for the ACLU. I'm going to refrain from any "briefs" jokes. Trent Dawson Trent plays the hapless Henry on As The World Turns, and wields a mean Pepperkakker. Garnon Davies The out Garnon stars as the perpetually knit-capped Elliot on Brit soap Hollyoaks. Does he ever wear baseball caps? Luke Adams Luke is the loveable (well, for now anyway!) out deaf contestant on the current Amazing Race. His close relationship with his mom makes him even more endearing. These are just a few suggestions you may not have thought of. Who are your favorite adorkable guys of the year? Daniel Tammet - Hot nerd mess.
There isn't a bigger gay nerd alive.
PS - About Luke...I love Luke. Cute, gay, deaf, family oriented...what's not to love?
Big Bang nerds
I love that you included the adorkable nerds of Big Bang Theory - the most watchable sitcom on TV these days. I may snicker, but I seldom guffaw, except Monday nights at 8pm, and these guys, particularly Sheldon, have me braying like a donkey. Funny is SO sexy.
I obviously have a thing for adorkable - I love all the guys on the list. You know what they say about guys with big brains, they have big...
This show is my guilty
Jonathan Capehart
Peter Orszag
Justin Barth
No discussion of adorkable hotties is complete without mention of the geektastic beauty that is Justin Bartha.
finally!!!!!
Nominee
How about the well-dressed dorks
I suspect Anderson Cooper of being nerdy when off camera, way too career driven and deeply closeted.
And that Bon Vivant nerdy Michael Urie as Mark on UGLY BETTY
And dare you leave out the all admonishing Tim Gunn who has made it work from college professor to reality star.
That's all I am saying...
INSIDEGUY
How 'bout some geeks from the soon to be rebranded SyFy
Before the "Big Bang Theory" there was "Eureka" and the most adorkable guy in sci-fi. I'm talking about Fargo who is played by Neil Grayston.
Then when it comes to just down right sexiness, there's Zane who is played by Niall Matter.
Either one of them would be a good addition to the list.
Was Luke ever loveable?
Can't wait to see the whole story about his altercations with Jen & LaKisha.
Geeks are exquerzit!
Trent Dawson can pepperkacker me all night long...
P.S. Is it worth giving a shout out to Ben Browder from Farscape? He's not anywhere near a geek or dork, but the show was greek-tastic beyond belief!

Chuckles!
I love this list but I am SO
Jim Parsons,
My favorite eye candy for giving me the news....
Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki
For different reasons, they both come up as big Mo's -- always thought Johnny was A-dorable, from his debut on "Roseanne"; he's matured into an even cuter, hotter young man.
Just saw Jim Parsons on Letterman and, the 'eye-rolls' alone set off the GayDar. That also came across on his appearance last month on "Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson". Jim comes across as a guy who found being 'unusual' could also be funny; probably a defense mechanism from younger days. Either way, they both are hilarious in "Big Bang Theory". Can anyone arrange for naked pix of them??? <g> without the multiple layers of 'nerd protective' clothes that are their costumes on the show.
