Adorkable Alert! Andy Zenor from "The Ellen DeGeneres Show"

On Tuesday's Ellen DeGeneres Show, Andy Zenor somehow ended up on a revolving pedestal wearing shorts, calf-high black socks, and ruby slippers, as the Queen of Daytime stroked his thighs.

Just a typical day for stagehand Andy.

I first noticed Andy last season. He was one of many stagehands who helped Ellen with her many corny games, and helped pass out gifts. But there was something different about this guy that set him apart. He was exuberant, and a bit gawky, and always stood out.

Eventually, I began watching the show thinking "I hope Andy is on today". Obviously Ellen heard me, because this season Andy has become Ellen's sidekick, with a running gag involving him wearing short-shorts.

Below you can watch Andy's biggest claim to fame, when he represented the show at the Emmy Awards. He keeps a smile as he's hit in the face with a rock by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, has his sleeves torn off by Amy Poehler and Will Arnett, water poured on his head by Kevin Nealon, and has his leg shaven by Stephen Moyer.

I don't know what Andy's sexuality is, but I do know that's he cute, a great sport, and utterly Adorkable!

    If I remember right...

... Ellen's mentioned Andy's wife a couple of times on-air. But I wondered a lot just like you beforehand. I'm happy he's featured more, nothing wrong with a little short-shorts action.

    WTF Julia?

Andy Zenor is adorable, but I don't know what to make of that part of the video when Julia Louis-Dreyfus throws a rock at his face!  Was that supposed to be funny, was she being rude, is there something I don't know going on?

But other than that, that was funny!

    Julia, the rock & Ellen

When Ellen first started her show, she came out & said "This new place is filled with stars.  There are so many, you can just throw a stone & hit one".  Then picked a rock, threw it & hit Julia with it.

Julia's repsonse was WTF. I' ll get you DeGeneres etc. etc.

    I'm an Ellen-ite

Andy's been on for a while - and he's always just cute as can be.  He does wear a wedding ring; but I can't recall hearing Ellen mention his wife so who knows.

The Julia Louis Dryfuss thing is an ongoing gag with Ellen.

    "He's taken"

Last week, she was talking about him and said "Sorry ladies, he's taken." - which was terribly nonspecific.

I did some research (I'm reallly good at that)

According to the Oregon Observer, Andy is married to a woman (don't know if it would be improper to post her name here).  Lucky gal!

Married, wife, taken, wedding ring, blah blah

I don't need to SEE that! (he says, channeling Aunt Sassy)

"I don't need to SEE that!"

Ha!  I also say that line all the time, along with "I don't need to HEAR that!  Answer your phone!"  The time-out gestures are always fun, too.  No one ever has a clue as to what I'm doing. =P

    Red Carpet Ready

I didn't get why Julia thought it was funny that she could throw the rock at his head. It might have been rubber (at least it looked like it did), but still being that close to someone and hitting their head wasn't funny. As for the rest I thought it was all funny. I love the shorts and tux look. We'll be seeing it next year on the red carpet.

Here's the clip of the original (hilarious) rock throwing incident -

It's funny how Ellen seems to be fascinated by Andy's leg hair.  She mentioned it during one of Andy's earlier appearances this season, then spent the whole ruby slippers bit stroking his legs.
