Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.
- Out actor Guillermo Diaz is just one of the celebrities to lend their support to the recent ads for the NOH8 Campaign. Their newest PSA "I'm Coming Out" has just been released and features Pete Wentz and Taylor Dayne, among others.
Speedos are icky and they'll warp your children's minds!

- In order "to prevent embarrassment among fellow members of the public and to maintain the family-friendly atmosphere at the resort", the Alton Towers water park in the UK has banned Speedos.
- Above you can see Yehonathan with Just Another Summer, one of the nominees for The Click List's Ultimate Sexiest Video. Head over and vote for your favorite, and check back Labor Day weekend for the winner.
- Gamer website Kotaku.com posted about the Thinkb4YouSpeak.com "That's So Gay" campaign, and the comments must be read to be believed. Basically they run the gamut from "stop being so sensitive" to "well, my gay friends say it so it must be okay", to "that campaign is so gay! Ha Ha!"
- Finally, as if we needed another reason to be crazy about Daniel Radcliffe, now comes word that he's just made a major donation to The Trevor Project, the 24-hour crisis and suicide hotline for LGBTQ youth. (t/y to reader Aussie54).

Stewie Griffin Gay?
Daniel Radcliffe's Trevor Project Donation
Excellent work.
Next, the entire cast of Twillight (which is non-stop in the news this summer) needs to each make a donation the the Trevor Project to balance out all the cash they are earning for the Morman Church.
I'm not judging, I just think it would be an excellent use of their fame and money and they should seize the day.
Let Daniel's kind heart and generous gift create a snowball effect across the land of Young Hollywood!

Daniel Radcliffe
I read about this a few days ago and it made me want to give him a hug. The boy is a treasure.
Oh those pics of Matthew Mitcham! He's perfection.
Thinkb4YouSpeak.com "That's So Gay"
I'm happy to see the campagin. I teach 8th graders and no matter how much I admonish them for hateful speech it doesn't stick because the culture the kids live in doesn't see "That's so gay" or calling the only Korean kid in the class "Jackie Chang" as an insult.
Honestly, I didn't really think about the pressence of hateful speech (other than the terms that applied to me) until my 1st year of college at the University of Virginia. The entire stadium used to yell "not gay" after every touchdown while singing the school song. A group of professors and upperclassmen spoke out and we had discussions about it during freshman orientation meetings. Talking about those things with people my own age really made me think. I hope the Thinkb4YouSpeak ads do the same for the kiddies of today.
Guillermo Diaz...
Who ? and Hello!
Didn't we already know Andy DIck was gay? Or is it Stewie we are talking about?
And HELLO! Jed Hill!
How singularly innocent I look this morning.

Sexiest Videos on Logo
I would be more inclined to vote for the Sexiest Videos if all of the videos nominated were restricted to those that specifically contained gay, lesbian or bi content.
I can watch and vote for sexy Beyonce videos on MTV and VH1 why would I need to watch them on Logo?
I find the trend to include so much non-LGBT material on a website and network devoted to LGBT pop culture to be bizarre and frustrating particularly when there are so many filmmakers, musicians, authors, visual artists, etc who are LGBT who never get any recognition on LOGO.
To me what makes channels like LOGO and HERE valuable is that they could cover stuff that other networks don't. They should be the go-to guys for gay stuff BETTER than Showtime, HBO, ABC, etc.
I understand wanting to offer the gay/lesbian perspective on pop culture in general but there are literally thousands of places to do that. Loads of gay and lesbian journalists write for the mainstream media and work on mainstream networks.
It's like the 99cent "or more" store. If it's the "99cent or more" store, it's not the 99cent store.
Since so many of the non-LGBT media entities rarely cover LGBT stuff with any depth or regularity, you'd think LOGO and Here would want to be seen as the "all things LGBT networks rather than just "some gay stuff
I don't get it. It can't be an advertising issue because the channels are already gay specific and subscriber based so who's going to be offended if the networks are too gay?Do they really need to be "balanced" with so much straight content?
