AfterElton Briefs: Russell Tovey's on his way, Jude Law gets a helluva makeover, and more!

Jude Law as "Minx"

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • Yes, that really is Jude Law, playing a supermodel whose beauty is fading in Rage, the latest gender-bender from Orlando director Sally Potter. Well now we know who should play Joan Jett if they ever make that Runaways movie.
  • Milk Oscar nominee Dustin Lance Black will receive the prestigious Writers Guild of America 2009 Paul Selvin Award. The honor recognizes written work that embodies the spirit of constitutional rights and civil liberties.
  • In other Milk news, star Sean Penn has apparently buried the hatchet with fellow Best Actor nominee Mickey Rourke. They've been feuding since Rourke called Penn a "homophobe" and "average actor". Sadly, the ongoing feud between pot and kettle is still going strong.

Russell Tovey

  • Good news for fans of out UK actor Russell Tovey. BBC America has announced that the hottie's supernatural series Being Human will be coming to U.S. airwaves later this year.
  • And finally, Victoria Beckham has confessed that there's a gay man inside of her struggling to get out. You know, some jokes just write themselves.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

    with honourable mention

Joseph, in total agreement, but honourable mention should go to  that creepy gnome wallpaper behind Russell.

    Being Human

I just watched the first two episodes of Being HUman, and I think that the three have as much chemistry, if not more, than the original Annie & Mitchell had with Russell Tovey.  And it may be just me but it's a bit more slashier with George and Mitchell.

It's awesome.  I was scared that it wouldn;t live up to the promise of the pilot but it's even better.

    Runaways movie

They actually are making that Runaways movie and have cast Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett.

I like your casting choice a lot better.

    Being Human on BBCA

Awesome!  This is actually looking like a better show than Torchwood ever was.
