Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • UK activist Peter Tatchell has a first-hand account of last weekend's Moscow protests and the police violence that ensued.
  • Contrary to speculation, the California Supreme Court will not issue their Prop 8 ruling tomorrow. According to Towleroad, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom asked the court to delay the release so it would not coincide with the thirtieth anniversary of the White Night Riots. UPDATE: The Mayor's office denies it (t/y to AndTom for the heads up).
  • Advocate.com has an article about today's meeting between Judy Shepard and President Obama.

  • Above you can see Cher in just one of the defining moments of her career. The icon of icons turns sixty-three today.
  • Finally, once-famous action star Chuck Norris is opposed to hate-crimes legislation ... because it would lead to protection for pedophiles. I guess that's that happens when you've been fake-kicked in the head your entire career.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

This guy!

    *An update on Towleroad*

San Francisco Supervisor Bevan Dufty spoke with Towleroad late this afternoon. He said: "It is implausible if not impossible to imagine that the Mayor could reach out to the California Supreme Court. Any thinking person would know that he would be radioactive to the justices given his leadership on the issue. His father is a retired federal judge. The Mayor's courage on this issue is unimpeachable. He would not intrude in what we've been waiting for."

    Neil and David

Is there a cuter couple than Neil and David?

The other David B. ain't too shabby either.

Meanwhile, Chuck Norris reinforces my belief that homophobia makes people stupid!!!

    Homophobia makes people stupid!

    Got to disagree...

Stupid People can be homophobe's. We've unfortunately got our own stupid people ( you there Perez? ) too!

    I think you misunderstood me.

Not all stupid people are homophobes.

However, all homophobes are stupid. And the more homophobic someone is, the stupider he/she is.  That is, their own homophobia leads them to act stupider. Look at the people from NOM!
