- *Sigh* Okay, in case you haven't seen it, here is the new ad for N.O.M. featuring Miss California loser Carrie Prejean. Personally, I found it to be a crushing disappointment. All that build-up, and that's the best they can do? FAIL.

- Above you can see the response to N.O.M. and the Miss California loser from former Miss USA Shanna Moakler (who's now the pageant director). She posed along with last year's winner Raquel Beezley, and former runner-up Tamiko Nash for NOH8, a campaign to help overturn Proposition 8 in California. NOH8 creater Adam Bouska also shot 1997's Miss Universe Brook Lee for the new ad campaign.
- Finally, Iowa is seeing an influx of gay couples, who are moving from bordering states in order to get married.

When did Sweden legalise Gay
Sweden passed it a couple months ago
Although as good meticulous Scandinavians they had been reviewing it in commitee for some time. It was never really in doubt, only one small party opposed it. Norway of course crossed the finish line recently as well.
The odd part is that this now leaves Denmark, which pioneered this space with the first national domestic partnership law so long ago, trailing the pack. It will now be a long boat race to see whether they're next or Iceland will be (given that they've got a lesbian PM now).

Tilda Swinton is not a conventionally attractive woman. She's stark, with the angular beauty one might expect from a crisp, lean work of art. With her short-cropped red hair and ultra-modern wardrobe (Lanvin, Rodarte, and Balenciaga are among the labels she wears most frequently), it makes sense that Tilda should eschew the costly cosmetics most other actresses use to transform their appearances.
