- Did AT&T influence the results of the American Idol final? At the very least, their "power texting" tutorials at Kris Allen fan parties was a huge conflict-of-interest.

- Finally, remember a few weeks ago when we posted about musician Rob Thomas and his Miss California tweets? Well, now he's done one better and written an article for Huffington Post called "The Big Gay Chip on my Shoulder". You know, back in the 90's my fantasy rock guys were Rob, Stephan Jenkins from Third Eye Blind, and that one dude from Toad the Wet Sprocket, but Rob is now the clear winner.
And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

"Mo, one spray and the gays will run your way,"
I wish I could buy that XD.
re: Rob Thomas
Spot on!
Exactly my thought. Well guess whose CDs I'll be buying and concerts I'll be going to.
I always thought he's cute, never pegged him for someone with brain! Go Robbie!
Some links to Adam Lambert interviews this week
Do you guys follow Adam Lambert and all of his interviews this week? He's been in NY and been interviewed God knows how many times (on TV/radio etc). He always comes across as an intelligent, smart, fun, humble and sweet guy and I love how articulate and well spoken he is. Anyway, I was just gonna post some links to some interviews he's done in the last couple of days. Today he will be in even more interviews on TV, so there is lots more to come.
First off, this interview with Michael Slezak on EW.com is the best on so far (it came out today). He talks so openly and honestly, and it's a great interview.

here's a short, three part interview he did w/ TV guide:

here's a super fun and cute Kradam interview, w/ US magazine (short) "I like the top" LOL

While in NY, he went to see Hair the other day, Broadway.com interviewed him

here he was a guest on regis and Kelly yesterday, it's a great interview this too.

on R&K he also sang Mad World - fantastic

he talked to people.com and said some very inspiring words, I love how he always talkes about being himself and that he wants to be a role model (no video here).

He's also been on many radio shows. He said on one show that he didn't care what Clay Aiken said about him and that he (Clay) got what he wanted out of it - which was headlines. :D
Go to Mjsbigblog.com to hear those interviews.
Thanks for the links
Phew, that's OK then
On Adam's Friendster page (if it really is young Mr Lambert's page and not a fan's version of what they'd like Adam to say - I don't uderstand these social networking sites) it says quite clearly that Adam Lambert is gay and likes dating men.
http://profiles.friendster.com/3761487
Yup, that's Adam's Friendster page
They linked to it in this Popnography post: Unlocking Adam Lambert's Internet Secrets
I don't think he's updated it in the last three years, though.
At least the pink elephant can be stuffed and mounted
Now that there is a public statement about his sexuality there's no need for speculation, loaded comments or other obfuscation by journalists. They have his permission to use the word gay and if they don't, it's publicly bad journalism/research on their part.
ADAM LAMBERT - RADIO INTERVIEWS
I've been posting stuff over in the "ADAM LAMBERT GAY OF THE WEEK" page:
Here are some of the best radio interviews this week in New York
ABC News, Andrea Dresdale 5/27/09 - On of the best interviews I think
http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=7688042
WPLJ Radio - Scott and Todd Morning Show
http://podcasting.fia.net/5146/3693903.mp3
My only issue with Michael Slezak is that he gave Athe judges a lot of crap about them giving Adam special treatment and pimping him regarding staging and Micahel never owned up to the fact that the judges didn't decide, that Adam requested to have the staircase and the fog machine, etc. The other performers has the options to ask for stuff and they chose not to. I thought Slezak should have pointed out that he was wrong.
Also, Adam said that he thought his worse performance was "Black and White" (in several other interviews that preceded the Idolatry interview) Michael Slezak had been so snarky and mean about that performance but didn't admit that Adam was aware of times when his voice was "screechy"
I love how Adam handles himself and he alternates between being very smooth and sexy and goofy. I love what he says about influencing young people to be themselves, be okay with being different (in whatever way they happen to be)
I loved that he wants folks to know that the elephant is definitely PINK. I'm convinced that he's not allowed to use the word "gay" for whatever reasons but I think he is so out and obvious (not because of guyliner but because he kisses boys and is proud for folks to know). I think it's crazy that folks accuse him of being closeted and do so with such venom here on this site and on Queerty and Towleroad.
Next to ABC News, the Us Magazine and TV Guide interviews are best because both guys are really open and intimate (and kind of slap happy) Their affection for each other is lovely to see and it's great they have bonded and can get through this stuff together.
