The joke names are my new guilty pleasure...
Thanks for the smiles.
Nous Sommes Tous Sauvages.
The names
Very clever. Those thighs look a bit more crunch-influenced than donut-influenced, though, I must say.
And I also read that Isaiah Washington from Grey's Anatomy fame is joining the No H8 campaign, which is somewhat significant and cool IMO, since it was his homophobic comments that got him fired from Grey's if I remember right.
Unfortunately
I was talking about my own thighs with the doughnut comment, I'd gladly trade for his! LOL
My tonuge would catch your tongue...were the world mine :-)
Briefs Boy
It's kind of a slow news day when everyone just comments on the eye candy's name...
He is quite... vascular, though, isn't he?
Haha...
'Bone' wear indeed.
My tonuge would catch your tongue...were the world mine :-)
OMGOMGOMGOMG
Delaware
This is awesome and it seemed to be overshadowed this week by the anger with the President's commitment. My partner and I are playing a wedding in Delaware for October and we hit this issue head on. We had no problem lining up vendors and a location thanks in part to the GLBT-friendly nature of the Rehoboth Beach area and some of its adjacent towns. Camp Rehoboth, the GLBT community center, was pivitol. But in our search for a videographer we were having a tough time only because of date availibility. This was until we received an email blatant in its tone and unprofessional in its delivery. One couple owned business in the Wilmington, DE area decided to tell us that they believed in the sanctity of marriage and that commitment ceremonies were not events they did. They also went on to say in writing over email that they believed that gay marriage was a threat to traditional marriage and the well-being of children.
I appreciate their honesty, but as a matter of public accomodation if they had done this to a Jewish or African-American couple it may have been illegal. Granted, I wouldn't have wanted them to have been part of our big day now knowing their opinions, but as a customer I don't need to know that and would judge them on their work not their personal opinions. Now in Delaware it looks like it is. What is sad is that someone in the legislature ACTUALLY wanted to amend the bill to allow businesses who held religious beliefs that ardently agreed with homosexuality could opt out at their discretion. It failed.
In the end, we found a videographer and can happily report that coincidently all but this vendor and the cake lady are proud lesbians or gay run businesses. It just worked out that way. My favorite response to what happened to us in this journey to our wedding was the cake lady's response to the email I mentioned above, "What the f@#k is wrong with people?"
We tape the Love Story (I know it sounds corny doesn't it but its part of the package, seriously) in August with the videographer.
Other items...
Sam Sparro rocks! His two songs Black & Gold and 21st Century Life have been staples on my iPod since you could buy them on iTunes.
And shouldn't we just make Lt Dan Choi the poster boy for any future gay media items? Not only can he speak with conviction and dignity, he also is a leader who came out to make the world a better place at the right time. He is my hero of the year along with the Air Force guy who came out also.
