Will Young in Rise of the Silver Crooner

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • Out UK pop star Will Young has just released the video for his new single Let It Go, in which he fantasizes about life as a superhero. Please say I'm not the only one who saw this and first thought it was from the latest volume of Hard Heroes.
  • TheQuietus.com has an interview with metal God Rob Halford, who talks about how disappointed he is that so few others in hard rock followed his lead by coming out. But if you think he regrets his decision ... you've got another thing coming. (Ugh. I'm sorry for that.)
  • Country star Kenny Chesney tells Playboy that he's still peeved that anyone could have thought he was gay. "What guy who loves girls wouldn't be angry about that? I didn't sign up for that!"

  • Striking a blow for elderly everywhere, a ten year old Spaniel named Bloody Stump won Best in Show at the 133rd Annual Westminster Kennel Club show at Madison Square Garden. Oh well, it looks like my deranged Yorkie will have to wait another year.
  • An article in The New York Observer is causing a stir. It's called "Gays Love a Depression!", and is about how the recession is allegedly affecting gays less than other demographics. Or maybe it's just "shopping gays", as one brave gay man points out: "I definitely still have to shop” he said. “It’s got to be done. We can’t let it affect the way we live. I’m a shopper, and most of my gay friends are.”

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

This guy!
