AfterElton Hot 100 Sneak Peek: Russell Tovey
Every day until the results are announced for the 2009 AfterElton.com Hot 100 poll we're leaking beefcake at a steady rate of a hunk a day. Today's fan-fave is out British actor Russell Tovey, who's starred in the BBC adaptation of Little Dorrit and both the stage and theatrical versions of The History Boys. He also starred in a memorable episode of Doctor Who, and raised the hopes of Who fans when exec. producer Russell Davies suggested him as a possible replacement for David Tennant. Unfortunately he wasn't picked to play The Doctor this time ... but maybe someday.
Even though he didn't nab that prime role, Russell sent the pulses of fantasy fans racing with the starring role in the BBC supernatural series Being Human, which has been renewed for a second season and will start airing on BBC America later this year. To find out where Russell placed on this year's list, you'll have to come back for the results. But for now, enjoy this slightly NSFW assortment of pictures ...

You can't help but..............

That's exactly what I
Perfect mix...
It's the ears
I've been a fan since The
Tovey
Great to see he is making the list! Tovey is like your first boyfriend, sweet and kind with a lot of mischievous giggling inside those eyes. You could lay in bed with him for days and enjoy the best cuddle you ever would have. He is a natural actor and his role on Being Human has been a great way to get to know him.
All about the Ears
Those ears are so nibblable. Yum yum.
Snicks, you forgot to mention his guest appearence in the BBC show, Ashes to Ashes. He played the boyfriend of a gay crime boss.
Sigh....Russell Tovey
What a great show!
And the twist of a Jewish werewolf who has power over vamps because of his faith - wow! (by-the-way I am a pagan so don't have any agendum.
Plus the scene where he was almost turning and having sex with his girlfriend was totally hysterical!
Seattle Boy Crush
Boy oh boy. I am an instant fan, and looking forward to seeing more of his..... his.... work. No, but seriously, I can't recall in years being so moved as when witnessing John Chivery's heartbreak in LD. A life-changing moment, for me. Thanks so much.
And being a drop dead cutie-pie doesn't hurt, either. As my English gram used to say, 'cute as the dickens.' Sorry for the pun :)
