Enjoy this tasty treat designed help to stall the inevitable soul crushingness that is known as the start of the work week. Savor it because as soon as you're done, it begins...
I really don't need to see this first thing Monday morning.
Showtime has finally issued start dates for the return of some of its gay faves. United States of Tara returns on January 25, Nurse Jackie on March 22, and The Tudors on April 11.
All Aboard! (Pic - Todd Kancar)
Above you can see Levi Johnston arriving in NYC for his Playgirl shoot (John Polly has more photos and details). Look, I know we shouldn't be devoting any space to this, but c'mon, it's hilarious!
Did Miley Cyrus really change the lyrics to one of her songs from "you're vain, your games" to "your vain, you're gay"? Judge for yourself.
A Boston retail store manager has learned what a zero-tolerance policy means after he was fired for putting in his two cents about a a colleague's marriage.
Above you can see the Motorola commercial that aired during the World Series that features a cameo from a dinosaur hating Neil Patrick Harris (and features a perfect Wilhelm Scream).
A gay couple has been BANNED FOR LIFE from a Michigan Wal-Mart because of a kerfuffel over some lighters Wait a minute ... banned for life from Wal-Mart? Is that a punishment?
Sam Sparro
Celebrating birthdays over the weekend are out actor Craig Chester, who turns 44, out singer/songwriter Sam Sparro, who turns 27, and Brothers & Sisters star Matthew Rhys, who turns 35.
Thetorchonline has that video of Sir Ian McKellensomehow enduring an appearance on The View.
And here is your sports pics of the week!
Apparently they won some baseball game.
And now the work week begins! We're so so sorry...
huh. I have seen that commercial before, but I don't remember Neil Patrick Harris in it. I am glad to seem him though. It shows that companies find him quite marketable.
Also - Why is playgirl even interested? I am guessing a publicity stunt.
Hmmmm, it does sound like that, but still, concert lyrics are hard to hear sometimes.
If she did, it certainly is a poor choice of words, though I can get how finding out your boyfriend is gay after you break up would burn. (not saying that happened, but could be a possible explanation?)
Makes me think of the Taylor Swift song "Picture to Burn" where the lyrics "Go and tell your friends that I'm obsessive and crazy, that's fine, I'll tell mine you're gay" was changed when the song played on the radio. I adore Taylor Swift, but I hate that she used that as a lyric, though admittedly she was 16-17 at the time, just starting to become famous.
And here's a cute clip from Spain to start off your week..
Victor and Javier, a gay couple on the Spanish version of So You Think You Can Dance (It's really a version of SYTYCD mixed with Big Brother, since they all live in the same house).
Thanks for the clip Mia. Didn’t know there’s another gay couple on fama. Over a year ago there was a cute gay couple – Juan Carlo and Jandro – on the same show, too.
We're taking what Faux News says about anything as the truth? Even if it is a local affiliate who is doing the reporting, I like to have all stories reported by that network verified by some other reputable source.
That article was a truly disturbing read, particularly because I GREW UP there. I mean, that's totally insane to me, but it's hard to imagine two lawyers from Chicago going nuts in a Walmart in Niles. Like, really hard.
On the other hand, it's also really weird to me to think of this happening in my hometown. I didn't meet with much discrimination at all growing up in the South Bend/Niles area, and I was an out, slightly obnoxious and rebellious teenager. So that is just creepy. Especially since we're supposed to be, I don't know, growing as a society and a culture - certainly growing more accepting. Or maybe that was just in the dream I had last night...

"South Bend!...it sounds like dancing, doesn't it?"
When in doubt, quote Katharine Hepburn. :)
Darn, I've always idealized the place as some sort of Sylvan paradise. Guess not.
