AfterElton Briefs: Gaga for "Glee", Hot-Bottom Issues, a Despicable Court Ruling, and More!

Plus Happy Birthday Barney (the Congressman, not the dinosaur), Modern Family wins a big one, and Goldie Hawn must be rolling over in her grave (well, she would if she was dead.)

  • Above you can see one of the pics from the upcoming Glee cover story from Rolling Stone. Speaking of which, Entertainment Weekly has spoilers about the upcoming Lady Gaga themed Glee episode, including what songs will be performed.
  • Speaking of speaking of which, Glee and Modern Family are among the big winners of this year's prestigious Peabody Awards (which it turns out are not named in honor of that brainy dog.)

There are a few questions this raises: Who could they possibly get to replace the irreplaceable Eileen Brennan? Who the hell is Anna Faris, and why does the article say she can "open movies?" In any case, trying to re-do Goldie Hawn's iconic, Oscar-nominated role has Razzie written all over it.
  • Happy 70th birthday to Congressman Barney Frank.

Where the hell is Chris Colfer?

  • I was in a sour mood this afternoon, but leave it to Joe.My.God to snap me out of it by posting this priceless typo from MSNBC about DADT:

  • Furor is growing over a court decision that will make the father of a dead soldier pay the legal fees for the Westboro Cult after he sued them for being loathsome creatures.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
