Have fun! Drop your caption ideas in the comments, and check out last week's winner at the bottom of the page!

Happy Birthday to out singer/songwriter Matt Morris, who turns 31 this weekend.

  • Oh dear. Mariah Carey has announced that her upcoming fragrance will be called .... wait for it .... "Lollipop Bling." The sad result of using "Random Fragrance Name Generator."
  • Below you can see Bryan Safi tackle the tired TV and movie cliche known as the "Faux 'Mo."

  • The Off-Broadway production of The Kid opens Monday, and NYTimes.com has the backstage details. The musical (which stars Christopher Seiber) is based on Dan Savage's memoir about adopting a baby.
  • Below you can see Jon Stewart snark on the news of the day, have fun with science, and destroy George Rekers (the "lift my luggage" guy.)

  • I'll admit to not being a huge fan of Katy Perry (don't get me started on that "Ur So Gay" song), but I know she has a lot of fans here, so if you head over to her website you can hear her brand new single "California Gurls."
  • Cher is auctioning off her Bob Mackie Golden Globes gown, with all proceeds going to help build schools in Haiti. The current bid is $1500. Hmm ... this gown is nice, but I think she'd make more money with her "If I Could Turn Back Time" outfit, or her 1985 Oscar gown, or the Native American garb from "Half Breed."

  • Just a note that we've decided to discontinue the Afternoon Meme on Fridays, but I'll do my best to channel the spirit of Ed. Apropos of that, below you can see a cat and dog wrestle.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

Drop your caption ideas in the comments (And please remember to keep the captions PG-13!), and check out last week's winner below!

Thanks to everyone for participating! The winner this week (because the thought of her as a sweaty mess in that costume is hilarious) is ...

In the oddest effort yet at legitimizing their failed theories, Exodus International sends Maggie Gallagher under cover to "convert" the latest all-male couple in the National Zoo's penguin exhibit. Officials report that Mikhail and Ronnie showed no interest in the interloper.

Thanks to Kirbles for this week's winning caption.
